Special Containment Procedures:
The containment for SCP-8400 is a collaboration with the UIU and the foundation. All instances are to be kept in 10 layers of steel lead-lined walls, with armed guards, with full-body protective armor. There should be no cracks or small spaces that lead to the outside, and they're definitely cannot be any paper-based items within a 134-meter radius of all instances. The room needs to be -80 degrees, to prevent them from forming and merging together. There should be no more than 10 in containment at once per site, and any extra beings should be terminated immediately.
There should be zero personal inside the containment chamber all times and in the scenario that there is a containment breach, anomalous fire, and high-pressure liquid-based weapons are to be used to dispatch instances.
SCP-8400-5, SCP-8400-5 is contained in a 20 layered steel container, which will start to decay over time. When moving SCP-8400 a nonhumanoid is to be used to move SCP-8400-5. ████████████ ████████████████ . The origin of SCP-8400 is classified for 05 and the head researcher.
Description: SCP-8400-1 instances will look like a man, woman, or child made out of paper, that has different texts in unknown languages. SCP-8400-2 is a pending request that represents any individual who has survived SCP-8400-1. SCP-8400-3 is a non-sentient being who is created by SCP-8400-1 instances and look like a genderless human being, who can vary in shape and size. SCP-8400-4 instances are amalgamation that has multiple body parts depending on how many SCP-8400-1 instances have been merged. SCP-8400-5 is a piece of paper ████████████████████████████████████████████████████.
Addendum
One instance of SCP-8400-1 was originally discovered in ████ on ████ by a UIU agent and was reported to a squad as an anomaly after an entire squad was taken down the UIU contained the creature for 194 days before there was a breach in containment. The instance had infected 14 men and had escaped. The foundation was notified after the breach, the foundation thought that the instance only cause scars and make people eternally bleed, and was classified as a Euclid class entity, however after its true abilities came to light during the containment breach, it was reclassified as a Keter class SCP. The UIU has been assisting in capturing the instances and has also studied the SCP themselves. Instances of SCP-8400-1 seem to retain memory and have an ability to use sign language, however, speech has not been recorded.
SCP-8400 instances are Keter class SCPS that are kept in the site ██. SCP-8400 can change its shape and size based on how much paper or paper-based resources are around. Any contact with SCP-8400 instances can result in one of the following effects.
- body turning into a paper
- having wounds appear that will drip blood and cannot be healed.
- turning into an instance of SCP-8400
- they can also go unharmed but with a phobia for paper and paper-based objects
- they will rarely ████████ and turn into a random SCP
SCP-8400 instances will come together to form a bigger form of 8400 and will attempt to touch other lifeforms to either harm them or convert them into a further instance. While the transformation to SCP-8400 the subject's body mass will reduce, and vital organs will melt inside the subject.the skin will fall away as the subject screams in pain, scream incomprehensively. When all tissue has fallen away it will reveal the subject fully made it paper. The effect will take an average of 2 minutes to complete, and if not converted the subject can be presumed one of the few who are immune to the effects. Xrays show the bone and brain still inside the subject, however, all other body parts are missing, which have been removed through anomalous ways. If instances of SCP-8400 are found, MTF Eta-11 should be dispatched immediately, once all instances are contained they are to be contained immediately with at least 3 layers of steel walls. SCP-8400 instances seem to have a fear for water or fire-related items, however, they are fairly resistant to any termination attempts through such means. SCP-8400 instances retain memory and are deemed sapient, and interviews are being considered by the O5 councils. Dr. Eggeggy's request to send them to the sun has been denied. SCP-8400 was discovered in Greece, in the ████ library where 40 instances became hostile towards civilians. MTF Eta-11 was dispatched to deal with the anomaly and to contain it. The team was successful, however, there were ████ casualties. The origin is unknown, however, it is implied it might have something to do with SCP ███, involvement.
Dr. ████ or also known as Eggeggy has been assigned the role of head researcher for SCP-8400 and has commented that they should nuke all areas that contain instances of Scp-8400, the request has been denied. Dr. Eggeggy has attempted to terminate the instances of SCP-8400 on multiple occasions with conventional weaponry, claiming "want to find a weapon that can harm these ████". Dr. Eggeggy1 was a former GOC member who was transferred to the SCP foundation, on 19██ and is constantly trying to terminate Keter and Euclid class SCPS, with other SCPS and once threw carrots at SCP-079 after SCP-079 called him a little crappy doctor and was reprimanded by the ethics committee when trying to snap a photo of SCP-096 to show to the church of the broken god.
TESTING LOG
The first test of SCP-8400 was when O5-2 wanted to discover what an instance could do to a being other than a human being. When SCP-8400 was released on to a D-class personal, the D-class personal, began to back up into the wall demanding that the researchers release him. As the Instance began to approach the D-class, the D-class experienced severe scars and began to bleed. After the test was conducted, the body was taken to do an autopsy. The body was completely hollow after the cuts even though blood kept dripping from the wounds.
A team of 10 agents and 3 researchers are to be sent to a town ████ that was supposedly infested by SCP 8400 instances. There was only one civilian that was rescued was given a class A amnestics, after being interviewed and had a body scan. The civilian was one of the few that was immune to the effects of 8400 and is currently being integrated back into society ████. The captain ████ is leading the group. The team was escorted to the area by MTF beta 7.

Day 1
It's been 2 hours since we arrived in the hell hole, I've always said that the foundation is being too rash, and I'll say it again since no one gives a crap about these documents. I don't even care for my team anyways. They'll probably die first, I hope they do. These fuckers still believe in the mother fucking shit the foundation is talking about, god damn crap.
Day 2
We plan to stay here for a week, I can't believe it. Dr. ████ says that there seem to be traces of human tissues in the soil. We continued forwards after that little bit of news, and we discovered a huge library that wasn't originally there. I guess we're going in. Were inside the library and we can't seem to escape it. I think we're lost. We found an area that seems to have bodies that have bled out… it seems to be very hollow though. I proceeded to shoot the body to a pulp.
Day 3
2 of my agents are gone… they turned a corner and something made out of paper jumped out of a book. It looked like a 7-year-old girl but made of paper. Both my agents were turning into instances while screaming in agony. We burned the girl to a crisp and put both agents out of their misery ████.
Day 4
There are at least 405 of these… things, they're everywhere! Its a god damn hell hole. We might be fighting an entire army. For everyone, we kill around 10 more shows up. Were going back to the entrance if possible.

The area of the infestation was burned down through the controlled use of SCP 457, which instances of 8400 seem to have a natural fear.
One of the civilians seem to have retained their memory about the incident, and have contacted local law enforcement, however, was deemed insane. The foundation was contacted by ████ who was an agent working for the local law enforcement, to supervise the integration of the civilians. An interviewer was sent to have an interview with the man, to see if the exposure to SCP 8400 rendered the person immune to amnestics

The subject is currently in the foundation of containment and seems to want to actively be involved with the foundation. This is an unusual situation and the amnestics cannot be used, due to the immunity gained. The ethics committee is currently deciding whether to allow the subject to join the foundation, to be classified as declass, to be classified as SCP-8400-2, or to be terminated.
This document will be continued to be edited as more research on SCP-8400 is done.

Recently SCP-8400 has been seen to be able to convert paper into a paper humanoid that is genderless, unlike anyone infected by the virus, it does not show any signs of sapients, it is classified as SCP-8400-3, and anyone inflicted by the virus is SCP-8400-1. Dr. Eggeggy is again reminded that the foundation is supposed to secure contain protect and not destroy destroy destroy.
Notes from Dr. Eggeggy
Yes, it may be illogical in the eyes of many to try to terminate these beings, however, even though we have contained most instances, there are still some that are in urban areas. We need to find a way to combat SCP 8400 instances with a weapon that doesn't require huge amounts of foundation technology, and using SCP 457 could cause a breach of secrecy, an XK scenario or a K class scenario, and ████ casualties.

In ████ some members of the gamers against weed, performed a raid on site ██. The site ██ originally contained 10 8400-1 instances. During the raid, the Chaos insurgency manages to capture ████ SCPS before fleeing the site. Retrieval of these SCPS is a task that the foundation put a lot of effort into especially because many of the items were Keter class and Euclid. During the chaos, however, 2 instances of SCP 8400-1 had escaped while the other 8 were terminated in an attempt to escape. The 2 that managed to escaped used an ability previously unknown to the foundation. They inhabited the skin of deceased foundation members to disguise themselves and escape. After this information was uncovered, all on-site personal were rounded up and SCP-███ must be used to detect any infected individuals. █ the amount was infected, quickly being terminated.
O5 command
New orders have been given out for the protocols in the containment of SCP-8400. All personal must have full body protection and any slight crack in the wall of the containment cell will result in a lockdown, and termination of any personal being converted into an instance of SCP-8400. There should be a mass X-ray on all personal, and if anyone is missing, it must be considered infected and should be terminated when found. After the incident ████, no unauthorized interviews are to be scheduled.

ALL PERSONAL MUST EVACUATE
On ████, after a malfunction of the doors, 6 instances of SCP-8400 were able to escape the facility. After the security footage was found, it was discovered that instances merged together forming SCP-8400-4. 4 of the 10 instances were terminated by the guards and one D-class who repeatedly shot it with a weapon from a dead guard. D-███ has been recovered and reassigned to SCP-██. After all personal were evacuated the on-site nuke was detonated. There were ██ casualties and a cover-up has been released of a power plant getting unstable and causing a nuclear detonation. All SCPS was contained, however, the SCP-8400 instances were never found. During the breach instances ██████████████. 05-4 and 05-2 declared termination on-site.

The origin of SCP-8400 has been hidden from the rest of the person that has been working on the containment of SCP-8400 since the ethics committee deemed it unwise to reveal the true intent of the SCP-8400, therefore, releasing a cover story for the event. SCP-8400 was created by both the GOC and the SCP foundation, after a raid on a cult named ████████, interrupting a ritual that was supposed to ████████████████████. After the intervention. The foundation collected all evidence and burned the building, that the cult was using. The cult was worshipping "the creators". After using SCP-████, to forcefully extract information from the cult members, the foundation uncovered that the cult was "aware". ████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████. The foundation tried to ████ a being that had omnipotence, on a higher plane of existence. After ████ the foundation, ████ some texts regarding when day breaks that the higher being has created, creating the first instance of SCP-8400, these beings ████ the SCPS. Anyone viewed the text would find out the truth about there world and would start to convert into an instance, SCP-8400-5 the text was found by a small town where the infection began. The 05 councils have provided amnestics for all personal involved and the entire council. Dr. Eggeggy is the only member of the foundation who knows the truth and should be given mental therapy every month. The SCP-8400 is actually truly guarded and quite neatly contained. Yes, they will try to escape but won't resist capture. 1 civilian must be thrown in there every year to keep them in check.

Dr. Eggeggy was found laughing uncontrollably and didn't stop for █ hours, spitting out gibberish. After being quarantined was given class A-Amnestic, and seems to regain his sanity, and is being closely monitored.

Several members of the MTF-Epsilon-11 were observed trying to gain access SCP-8400-5 claiming that they wanted to please the lords. The MTF members were terminated and were sent for an autopsy. The MTF had no changes in their bodies, however for all of the afflicted individuals, had 2% of their tissues replaced with an unknown solid object. After the autopsy the doctors who performed the operation described to have more religious beliefs and began to question their own existence. Even when amnestic were applied to those who were afflicted, the doctors still seemed to exbibit to the same behavior. After the doctors were denied access from SCP-8400-5 the tenth times they defected to the Church of the Broken God and current status is unknown to the foundation and MTF Alpha-1 has been tasked to deal with this task.
