Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5124 must be held within an airtight room, cracks or openings are needed to be checked daily. A 4 digit passcode is needed to open the airlock door, which can be obtained at current Site 81.
Janitorial services are needed monthly to remove SCP-5124-2, janitors are needed to wear hazmat suits to prevent contact from SCP-5124-2 and SCP-5124. Should the janitor be exposed, the subject must be treated as an SCP-5124-1.
Description:
SCP-5124 is a 6 cm x 4 cm x 3 cm bar of soap, that weighs approximately 2 ounces.
SCP-5124 can cleanse any material, thoroughly. It sterilizes any bacteria, fungus, or virus that it comes in contact with. SCP-5124 also expands its mass by 2 millimeters per day, when SCP-5124 grows to 6 cm x 4 cm x 3 cm it will detach any extra mass that has exceeded this measurement. SCP-5124 isn't affected by dramatic temperature difference (Shown in Experiment 5124-A-2 and Experiment 5124-A-3).
SCP-5124 can be changed through impact but regenerates it's mass 5-20x quicker depending on the force it's taken. Water seems to be the most effective substance, for it can deplete its mass without it regenerating faster, as it reacts like a common bar of soap. Although water has been seen to only remove up to 89% of its mass, 11% is resistant to water.
SCP-5124 shouldn't ever be used on humans or animals, for it destroys the bacteria and germs such as on the skin, in the Digestive system, or the Immune system. It often kills the subject by weakening their Immune system and allowing harmful common germs to enter the subject (Shown in Experiment 5124-A).
Contact or consumption of SCP-5124 or SCP-5124-2:
- Contact on the eye, removes Corynebacterium mastitidis. Removal will cause dry eye or pink eye.
- Contact on skin, removes epidermidis. Removal will cause serve symptoms of dermatitis.
- Contact on teeth, removes A12 microbes. Removal will cause serve cavities and gum infection.
- Breathed into lungs, removes lung microbes. Removal will cause lung disease and asthma, may cause tuberculosis.
- Entered digestive system, removes Bifidobacterium Bifidum and Lactobacillus Acidophilus. Removal will cause stomach flu and serve chronic diarrhea, may also permanently damage the Immune system.
- If subjects consumed particles of SCP-5124-2, they will immediately be treated as SCP-5124-1.
SCP-5124-1 are subjects that have not succumbed from SCP-5124-2 or SCP-5124. SCP-5124-1 must be immediately taken to an airtight room, personnel may not enter the area unless covered with a sterol hazmat suit. SCP-5124-1 is to be rested on a sanitized medical bed, the subject must be given nutrition by IV fluid to stay alive. A therapist will come to counsel or see if SCP-5124-1 has any behavioral problems. SCP-5124-1 must take vaccinations weekly to gain immunities against outside microorganisms. After 3-5 months, if still alive, SCP-5124-1 may leave the airtight room for a short amount of time. After 2-4 more months, SCP-5124-1 may leave the area.
SCP-5124-2 are bits of soap that react like dust in the air. SCP-5124-2 can form if dust particles contact either SCP-5124-2 or SCP-5124. SCP-5124-2 has 3 stages when being formed from the extra mass. The mass will be approximately 1.37 cm away from SCP-5124, either by natural or unnatural movement. If no wind or organism moves the object, it will gradually move on its own about 0.5 cm per hour. After the mass is at its destination, it will begin to harden. After approximately an hour it will start to deteriorate, to the point where it has turned into small grains. Then SCP-5124-2 will experience "anti-gravity" movements, and begin to float in the air.
Addendum 5124-01: On █/█/2018, SCP-5124 was found in ██████, Washington following the reports of their citizens dying for unknown causes in ██████. Mobile Task Force was dispatched immediately to the location, 3 armed personnel and Dr. ██████ came on-site wearing hazmat suits. They searched the homes of ██████ and found one that especially had "waxy dust" in the air. SCP-5124 was found with an excessive amount of particles in the bathroom of the home and was taken back to Site 81 for research.
Addendum 5124-02: The use of SCP-5124 for cleaning purposes is permitted.
Addendum 5124-03: On ██/██/2018, SCP-5124 was brought to be used on SCP-35 for cleaning purposes. SCP-5124 was used to clean the blood within the room, SCP-5124 was also left within the cell to excrete extra mass to keep the cell clean for later months.
Addendum 5124-04: On ██/██/2018, SCP-5124 was used on a rat that had a case of SCP-81. The rat had died from SCP-5124, but analysis showed no indication of SCP-81.
Addendum 5124-05: The use of SCP-5124 for cleaning purposes is disbanded and any personnel lower than a level 4 may not enter the cell of SCP-5124.
Addendum 5124-06: Experiment Logs
Experiment Log 5124-A: On █/██/2018, 2 D-class personnel were brought to the airlock door for SCP-5124.
Experiment 5124-A-1: D-class personnel A, was told to enter the room, he entered. Then he was told to hold SCP-5124 in his right hand. He complies and does what is being instructed. His hand turns red when in contact with SCP-5124, but he does not notice.
Experiment 5124-2: D-class personnel A, was told to leave the area. The airlock door opens, his hand starts to receive serious skin rashes. D-class personnel A was treated immediately.
Experiment 5124-3:D-class personnel B, was told to enter the room, he entered. Then he was told to try and take a sample of SCP-5124 with the tools he was given.
Experiment 5124-4:D-class personnel B, used the tools against SCP-5124, which was excreting mass at an accelerated speed. He was told to leave the area. The airlock door opens, he starts having breathing problems and violent stomach aches.
Experiment 5124-5:D-class personnel B, was treated immediately. D-class personnel A had to surgically remove parts of his hand. D-class personnel B died of the common cold 2 hours later.
EXPERIMENT 5124-A-2 - 'The Cold Test' - █/█/2018
Subject: SCP-5124.
Method: SCP-5124 is half submerged in liquid helium. After an hour of being submerged SCP-5124 peaked it's temperature at -268.9°C. SCP-5124 was taken out of liquid. Tools such as aluminum bats, circular 7 1/4 in diamond cutting blades and a hydraulic press were brought.
Results: The tools were shown ineffective to SCP-5124 regenerative abilities. The temperature change did not effect SCP-5124 in anyway.
EXPERIMENT 5124-A-3 - 'The Heat Test' -██/█/2018
Subject: SCP-5124.
Method: SCP-5124 is to be put inside a cell filled with superheated steam. After half an hour temperature peaked at 293.7°C. SCP-5124 was taken out of cell, and was used against tools.
Results: Tools showed more effectiveness than with 'The Cold Test', but showed no difference anyhow.
