Item #: SCP-5022
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5022 must be kept in a cushioned area with at least 8 feet of clearance in any direction at all times. All food must be blended into a fluid and administered through a straw to prevent choking. Absolutely no weapons are allowed within 300 feet of the current cell for SCP-5022. If SCP-5022 breaks containment, she is to be gently persuaded to return to containment. Any force, hostile or otherwise, is not permitted under any circumstances.
Description: SCP-5022 is a 9 year old Caucasian girl named Ariel with brown hair and green eyes. She drew the attention of the SCP foundation after a horrific car accident in Arkansas, [REDACTED]. Her parents were both killed and horrifically burned, and the car itself was barely recognizable, but Ariel came out without so much as a scratch. Of particular note is that several nearby drivers seem to have suffered similar injuries to Ariel's parents despite not being directly involved in the crash.
Experiments seem to show that any harm dealt to SCP-5022 is somehow redirected to someone else nearby, with no obvious range or preference. It is currently unknown to what extent this anomaly defines "harm," though emotional trauma seems to affect her normally. Tests show that Ariel manifests anomalous effects in response to sharp objects, blunt force, extreme heat, extreme cold, gamma radiation, poison, and even allergies and intolerance, as discovered after realizing that SCP-5022 is lactose intolerant, providing severe discomfort to several staff whenever she was served dairy products.
Addendum 14-E: SCP-5022 seems to be growing more hostile to containment. Despite the best efforts of our counseling staff, SCP-5022 seems to be developing cabin fever, growing more irritable and potentially dangerous. A request has been made to release Ariel from Foundation control. So far, this request has met no response.
Foreword: (SCP-5022 is currently playing with a Rubik's cube. The active counseling officer has been called into the cell to conduct a psychological evaluation.)
Counseling Officer: Good morning, Ariel. I'm Doctor ██████ ████████. I am here to-
SCP-5022: Can I go home? I want to go home. This place is boring.
Counseling Officer: I'm sorry, but not yet. We've put in a request but we haven't-
SCP-5022: Why can't I go home? I want to go home. (SCP-5022 begins crying.)
Counseling Officer: I'm sorry, Ariel. We're trying our best. We'll get you out soon. I promise you.
SCP-5022: That's what the last ████ said.
Counseling Officer: I know. I'm sorry. How was lunch?
SCP-5022: It was okay.
Counseling Officer: Good, good. I just need to ask you a few questions and see how you are doing.
SCP-5022: Okay.
Counseling Officer: Alright, good. How are you feeling?
SCP-5022: Bored. And sad.
Counseling Officer: Bored and sad?
SCP-5022: Yeah.
Counseling Officer: Okay. (scribbles into clipboard) Anything I can do to make you feel better?
SCP-5022: Can you let me go home?
Counseling Officer: No. Not yet.
SCP-5022: Then no. I guess I'm okay.
