Defunct Containment Procedures: Due to its remote location and inability or unwillingness to move beyond its projected course, SCP-XXXX is considered functionally self-containing. In the unlikely event that an oceanographic institute's exploration route would potentially coincide with SCP-XXXX's location, agents planted within those institutions are to discretely alter said routes to avoid contact with SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX is to be monitored from the SCPF Volos which is to remain at the surface above SCP-XXXX at all times; a tracker has been attached to the subject to continually monitor its movement to this end. Visual inspections of SCP-XXXX to determine any changes in its state are to be conducted bi-monthly via the ship's R.O.V.¹

Revised Description: SCP-XXXX is the collective term used for the remains of a temple located at ██°██'██.█" in the Northern Atlantic Ocean, designated SCP-XXXX-1, a large unidentified invertebrate designated SCP-XXXX-2, and various anomalous pieces of scripture designated SCP-XXXX-3.

• SCP-XXXX-1 is composed of approximately 274 kilograms of marble, dating 514 BC. The remains are scattered within a radius of 15 kilometers from the last recorded position of SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 before event XXXX-5-26-2019. Because event XXXX-5-26-2019 is largely unrecorded, it is unknown whether the large differences in distances are caused by the events that took place. Even though the marble has been underwater for more than 2000 years, it shows no signs of erosion. For description of the original temple, see outdated description.

• SCP-XXXX-2 was a large unidentified invertebrate located under SCP-XXXX-1 before event XXXX-5-26-2019. The location of its corpse is unknown but after analysis of event XXXX-5-26-2019, it is presumed dead. Its exact physical appearance is unknown but after routine inspection XXXX-RI-003, it is suspected that it resembles a Mesonychoteuthis hamiltoni (Colossal squid) (see attached document for RI-log). Its exact measurements are also unknown.

• SCP-XXXX-3 are the remains of 10 pieces of marble slabs inscribed with various texts, written in a combination of Ancient Greek and an unknown language. After event XXXX-5-26-2019, all of them have been destroyed. The meaning of the texts written on the slabs are unknown.

SCP-XXXX was populated by 14 semi-humanoid statues, designated SCP-XXXX-A-1 through SCP-XXXX-A-14. They are made out of marble, dated 513 BC. All instances had the upper body of a standard human male or female. Below the waist, all instances had 8-16 tentacles, resembling those of a Loligo Fulgaris (European Squid) 6 of the instances were identifiable as male and 5 of them as female; instance SCP-XXXX-4 had no identifiable sex. They are capable of speech and showing emotions. They have an ORT-BCM-De trigger, being able to move and change poses when going unobserved for a period longer than 1 hour. They possess above-average intelligence and seemingly have knowledge that doesn't match the time period in which they were created, including [data expunged]. Chapter 194: Optical Reaction Triggers

This is the fourth chapter on SCP reaction triggers. Some SCP's will give a reaction when being observed or unobserved. This is called an Optical Reaction Trigger, also abbreviated as an ORT. These triggers can be divided into multiple categories:

1. ORT-SCM = Sustained Contact Movement: The SCP will be able to move while being observed. They will stop moving once being unobserved.
2. ORT-BCM = Broken Contact Movement: The SCP will be able to move while being unobserved. They will stop moving once being observed.
3. ORT-MHA = Memetic Hazard Agent: The SCP will activate its memetic hazard once it's observed.
4. ORT-CHA = Cognitohazard Agent: The SCP will activate its cognitohazard once it's observed.
5. ORT-IHA = Infohazard Agent: The SCP will activate its infohazard once it's observed.
6. ORT-SAR = Specific Anomalous Reaction: The SCP has a specific anomalous reaction that is unique to the SCP. You can find information about these in their documents.

There are also a couple of suffixes you can add to an anomaly if it's helpful for containment. These have been shown in earlier chapters, but we'll also include them in this chapter:

1. -XXX = If an anomaly has an extra trigger, it can be added as a suffix. These are oftentimes SAR reactions.
2. -De = Delayed. The reaction is delayed, even if the trigger is met.
3. -Pe = Permanent. The requirements for the trigger are only needed to be met once. After that, the reaction will go on permanently.
4. -NP = Non-Permanent. Effects will end when trigger is no longer met.
