Hey y'all, I wrote this much so far. I'm hoping for feedbacks, so here it is. Also, where do I go for official submission? Anyway, your critique is appreciated!

SCP-4974 EleventhAlarm73

The Longsword

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-4974 is to be kept in Archaic Weapons Locker 4 at Site-████. SCP-4974 is to be oiled once every 6 months, however it requires no further maintenance. No personel under clearance level 3 may have access to SCP-4974.

Description: SCP-4974 is a longsword in the style commonly found in 1400’s France, and is made of otherwise non-anomalous steel and features a half leather and half twisted-steel-wire hilt, as well as five crosses going up the length of the blade on either side. SCP-4974’s anomalous traits only reveal themselves when handled by males of French descent, 16-25 years of age. When such an individual handles SCP-4974, they immediately become anomalously skilled with the weapon, and gain an innate understanding of the french language, which appears to be permanent. While subjects under the influence of SCP-4974, referred to as SCP-4974-1, retain their previous knowledge and personality, they also gain a sense of urgency that is present at all times, and furthermore a desire to defend those around them.

Addendum 4974-1
SCP-4974 recovery record: SCP-4974 was discovered during a training exercise in Tours, France by MTF Theta 2 in conjunction with French unit MTF Gamma 4. Corporal Michael LeDeaux discovered SCP-4974 in the basement of the chapel of Ste. Catherine de Fierbois in a chest approximately 600 years of age buried in a shallow hole, and discovered it’s anomalous properties. LeDeaux, despite growing up in ██████████, USA and never before having learned french, started to fluently speak it anyway.

Addendum 4974-2
As of ██-██-████ Corporal LeDeaux has been granted special access to SCP-4974 for special missions. LeDeaux has cited the need for SCP-4974 “to be able to handle anomalies that seem resistant to gunfire, and require a more antiquated approach.”
Access was granted, with LeDeaux being issued a sheath and a sword belt.
