Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX should be stored in a standard safe. SCP-XXXX must not come into contact with genetic material. To carry it, use metal instruments latex gloves any means that avoids direct contact with the skin. All kinds of experiments need the approval of at least one Level 3 staff member. If the experiment is highly hazardous, it shall be conducted with Class D staff. If it is not dangerous, any living being may be used.

Update 19/08/2019: SCP-XXXX is no longer in the possession of the Foundation. It is ordered to be found and recovered as soon as possible. Any person suspected of collecting used cups, other people's clothing and any other potential DNA sample must be apprehended and questioned.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 32 cm anthropomorphic doll. Its composition is a jute burlap (Corchorus capsularis) fabric and a filling that seems to be, by touch,1 of cotton. It has brown wool thread sewn by hand around the edges and on the face, forming a cross as a mouth and with two buttons as eyes.

When SCP-XXXX comes into contact with the skin of a living being or a DNA sample (a hair, saliva or similar), any stimulus experienced by the object will be projected onto the living being it has come into contact with or whose DNA matches the sample. This applies to touch, smell and perception, among others, as long as the subject is alive (see Experiments 37-40).

The outer fabric of SCP-XXXX is extremely resistant. While it projects damage to the target subject, it always remains unscathed. The researcher who tried to cut the fabric with a scalpel was injured with an incision in his body. Fortunately, it was a slight cut in the area of the right knee, and was treated without further complications.

Addendum:
SCP-XXXX attracted the attention of the Foundation when investigating the case of the death of ████ ████████, a 16-year-old girl, in strange circumstances. The day after the event, a young man named ████ ███, aged 17, showed up at the city's police station claiming to be the direct perpetrator of the girl's murder. He was immediately detained for interrogation by the officers who had come looking for him.2

████ ███ claimed to have bought SCP-XXXX in a street shop the night before, after his breakup with the victim. He stated that, out of spite and in a fit of jealousy, he managed to get [DATA EXPUNGED] by rummaging through the trash can at her house. When he heard from the news that ████ ████████ had suffered the same damage that ████ caused to SCP-XXXX, he felt guilty and went directly to turn himself in to the authorities.

This testimony, of course, caused confusion among the police officers. They decided to keep him in the police station's cell as a precautionary measure, and to transcribe his statement despite its implausibility. The report was discovered by agent Green during his routine review, and as it was a description of the use of a potential SCP, he decided to investigate it.

After finding SCP-XXXX and confirming his anomalous properties, the boy was questioned and, besides keeping the same testimony he gave to the police, he described the aforementioned street shop and the appearance of the person who attended him. The boy added that the salesman explained to him how SCP-XXXX worked in detail, and gave him the doll previously wrapped in plastic to prevent accidental exposure to hair or dandruff from passers-by. However, no establishment with the aforementioned description, or anyone selling similar objects, was found. The other fairgoers denied having seen any men who fit the description, nor a shop that sold esoteric items.

SCP-XXXX was seized and replaced by a voodoo doll of similar appearance. Class-B amnestics were administered, written testimony was altered and false evidence was introduced in the case that pointed to the acts of an armed maniac who entered through the window and escaped after the murder.

Incident XXXX:
On 18/08/2019 several staff members experienced a sudden spontaneous head compression, similar to crushing, resulting in immediate death. This phenomenon triggered panic among Site-34 personnel, and a special security team was deployed to search for invisible entities, thaumical threats and other anomalies. However, the event lasted only a few minutes.

A post-incident inspection determined that SCP-XXXX was no longer in storage. The security camera operators had died in the incident, also with their heads crushed, so they could not trigger the alarm. A thorough review of the recordings from each camera concluded that agent ██████ was to blame for the event.

The reconstruction of the facts remains in this way:

  1. Agent ██████ roams the dining room and takes from the trash can the disposable cups that the doctors ███████ and █████ have drunk from, to put them in plastic bags that he himself was carrying. In the same way he also collects forks, cigarette butts, combs and used clothes from the camera operators and security guards who were going to patrol the area on the day of the events.
  2. The agent ██████ enters the storage place of SCP-XXXX carrying the collected DNA samples, belonging to the personnel considered relevant for the safeguard of the object. He proceeds to sequentially touch the tissue of SCP-XXXX with each sample, then squeezes the head of the doll. The camera operator █████████ dies, starting the event.
  3. Agent █████████, who had only been on the job two days and whose DNA was not in the possession of agent ██████, surprises his partner in the middle of the operation. Agent ██████, before the other could react, grabs SCP-XXXX and smashes him into the witness's face, killing him instantly.
  4. When the DNA samples in his possession are finished, agent ██████ takes SCP-XXXX and hides it in his jacket. Site-34 personnel are running around due to the events, confusion that agent ██████ takes advantage of to slip through the crowd.
  5. It's hard to locate agent ██████ until he appears on the plant ██ of the facility. Once there, agent ██████ pulls a prepared helium balloon from a hiding place, ties the string around SCP-XXXX's neck and releases it through the window.
  6. Once this is done, Agent ██████ leaves Site-34. No one suspects him.

The reasons why agent ██████ did this remain unknown. A special investigation has revealed that agent ██████ was actually an undercover member of the Chaos Insurgency, directly responsible for this incident and others, such as [DATA EXPUNGED]. Containment procedures have been updated, as well as security protocols to test agents' loyalty to the Foundation.
