Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-3984 is to be contained in a soundproof chamber at all times. Personnel entering SCP-3984's chamber are to wear [Redacted] Brand soundproof headphones. Class-D Personnel are to check SCP-3984's chamber twice every week, any damge found is to be immediately reported to a Level 2 Researcher or higher. One armed guard is to be stationed outside of SCP-3984's chamber at all times. Soundproof headphones are to be kept at the site storage room and outside of SCP-3984's chamber at all times. SCP-3984 is currently being stored at Site-[Redacted]
Description: SCP-3984 appears as a standard Marimba Bass instrument. SCP-3984 does not have any noticeable features, marks, or writing on it. When written music sheets are placed on top of SCP-3894's bars, SCP-3984 will play the music at an extremely high decibels, the highest of which has been recorded at 210.76% decibels. Testing on SCP-3984 has supposedly proven that SCP-3984 is able to communicate by hitting its bars loudly A, B, C, D etc. Because of the high sound it makes, SCP-3984 has been able to damage its containment chamber.
Addendum 3984-a
1 Class-D personnel instructed with leaving a written note that said, "Are you able to communicate?" on one of SCP-3984's bars. Result: SCP-3984 almost instantly responded with the notes "GABE BE DEAD". All further attempts to communicate with it only have ended with the same results as the first test.
Test Notes: "Since nobody seems to know who Gabe is, it has been thought of that SCP-3984 is using a different language or cipher to communicate. So far, no translation has been found. -Dr. [Redacted].
