Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX Is to be contained within a 10x10x10cm Sealed Glass Case and placed upon a black smooth marble pedestal. At no point in time should anyone be allowed to come into contact with SCP-XXXX without proper equipment.

Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a gold forged ring with silver linings and a glowing ruby in the middle. SCP-XXXX resides within a small black ring box with golden linings on it. The box itself does not have any anomalous properties.
Addendum XXXX-01: Any person coming into contact with SCP-XXXX without wearing any form of protective fabric as gloves will instantly begin expressing a desire to wear the ring, Stating it looks: 'Beautiful'. Upon wearing SCP-XXXX, The target will begin experiencing different floods of hallucinations in the form of memories ranging from experiencing their own death over and over or reliving the worst decisions of their lives. Because of this, SCP-XXXX has been Deemed a Cognitohazard.¹

Addendum XXXX-02: After wearing SCP-XXXX for about a week, Any target under the effect of SCP-XXXX will start chattering, mumbling, and snickering. After two weeks of wearing SCP-XXXX, Target will attempt to remove SCP-XXXX, Killing themselves in the process. A few days after the target is killed, SCP-XXXX will re-appear inside the Jewelry Box.

Addendum XXXX-03: Any Attempt to destroy or break SCP-XXXX has resulted in a failure, As SCP-XXXX Appeared fully functional and whole inside the Jewelry Box after a few hours.

Addendum XXXX-Prime-01: The current holder of SCP-XXXX is Junior Researcher Adam Peterson. Adam has been under the psychological effect of SCP-XXXX For approximately 4 weeks and Has still not been driven to madness. Reasons for Adam's Immunity to SCP-XXXX's Psychological Effect are Currently Unknown.

Dr. Alexon: Can you explain further the memories SCP-XXXX Generates within your head?

Adam: I can see it all happening…It loves to show me ways that I can die. The most recent one was dying by being mauled to death by a bear. It felt so..real…

Dr. Alexon: Mauled to death by a bear?

Adam: Indeed…It was so detailed as well…I know I'm alive, But seeing those memories flood my head really made me feel like I was dying.

Dr. Alexon: I understand…Moving On.

Dr. Alexon: You keep mentioning the name, Melissa. Does that name have any form of Importance to you?

Adam: ..Yes, It is the name of My Daughter who's Passed away before I even started working at the foundation. The memory still haunts me years later, And this [DATA EXPUNGED] Ring just won't let me forget.

[Subject slowly becomes irritated.]

Dr. Alexon: Elaborate.

Adam: Melissa was 5 at the time. She was playing with a ball in the yard while I and my wife were talking. Earlier that day, I forgot to lock the Back-Door, so it remained open for most of the day. The ball rolled out of the yard and towards the open street. The back-door was open, so she ran out to catch the ball. It was only when my wife noticed that she was gone and the back door was open, That we ran outside and found her. My daughter was flattened onto the pavement, Ran over by a car. I found her bleeding out on the ground. I tried my best to save her but nothing worked. By the time we reached the hospital, She has already passed away. All because of my Ignorance.

Dr. Alexon: I'm..sorry for your loss.

Adam: I've been trying to forget this memory ever since, But this stupid [DATA EXPUNGED] Ring won't allow me to!

[Subject Becomes Increasingly Irritated and Attempts to remove SCP-XXXX.]

Dr. Alexon: Adam, Stop. If you remove SCP-XXXX, You WILL be Terminated.

[Subject calms down and rests their head on the table.]

Dr. Alexon: What kind of memories does SCP-XXXX Create about your daughter?

[Subject Refuses to Answer.]

Dr. Alexon: Adam?

[Subject Refuses to Answer.]

Dr. Alexon: Adam, If you do not comply, I will have to terminate this Interview.

Adam: Ah, Apologies. I spaced out…

Dr. Alexon: Very well. I will repeat the question. What kind of memories does SCP-XXXX Create about your daughter.

Adam: Certain more ways she could have died because of my ignorance…This…this thing is not just some Ring…It's alive, sentient. It taunts you at every turn. You can't run from it and you can't remove it once you wear it.

Dr. Alexon: How did you make the conclusion that it's sentient?

Adam: It laughs at me while it tortures me… When I ask it to stop, It only gets worse. I can't run from it.

Dr. Alexon: Do you express a will to remove it?

Adam: Goddamnit, Yes of course I do! I despise this [DATA EXPUNGED] Ring, and I'm sick of these bloody questions at every turn.

Dr. Alexon: You're leaving me no choice, Adam…

[Subject Gets Up from his seat and attempts to assault Dr. Alexon, And is instantly detained by guards.]

Adam: Sarah, I am terribly sorry for the Incident in the last Interview. I could not get a hold of myself.

Dr. Alexon: Understandable, But please call me Dr. Alexon. Keep it professional.

Adam: Yes, Of course.

Dr. Alexon: Moving on. You claim that SCP-XXXX is Sentient. What kind of Images does it show you that made you get to that conclusion?

Adam: Besides showing me Images and Memories of my own death, It also shows me Images that I can only assume to be of previous people that have worn SCP-XXXX. The most recent one dating back to D-536.

Dr. Alexon: Care to Elaborate?

Adam: It was very strange. Like an out-of-body experience. I was standing in the testing area instead of D-536, But I did not feel like I was in my body. I was instructed to Put on SCP-XXXX, and Then I was let back into my own cell, Which I can only assume was D-536's Cell. I experienced around a Week in one minute, It flashed by..really quickly. Around a week and a half, I started to express a desire to remove the ring and Managed to do so in the end. Afterward, I was back in my own Body.

Dr. Alexon: How many victims did you manage to see of SCP-XXXX?

[Subject is hesitant to answer at first, but gains the courage to a few minutes afterward.]

Adam: Many. Some date back to 100, Maybe even 300 B.C. I even saw what appeared to be Jesus Christ himself at one point…

Dr. Alexon: What was the earliest known Victim that SCP-XXXX has shown you?

Adam: A Young solider, Circa 200 B.C…The form of the Ring was in-fact gold.

Dr. Alexon: Gold was only discovered in 1848…Are you sure this Particular instance of SCP-XXXX was made out of gold?

Adam: Certain. It could not have been any other material.

Dr. Alexon: Continue.

Adam: I didn't see much of what happened to that soldier, Only that he died while his wife was giving birth.

Dr. Alexon: What was the name of that Soldier?

It's been 3 days since I discovered this strange Ring..It's unlike any ring I've seen before.
It creates different memories in my head..It talks to me..I feel like I'm going mad, But I can manage to keep my composure.
I've discovered this ring a few days prior while strolling in the forest.
Once I picked it up, I couldn't help but put it on. It was so..beautiful..and mesmerizing..
I'll keep updating this Log as the Effect of this ring continues.
