Description SCP-XXX is a white rectangular road sign stating “Buckle Up It’s The Law”
Any direct contact with SCP-XXX results in damage to joints, particularly the Glenohumeral joints and the Acetaburalfemural joints. When contact is made with SCP-XXX the bone joints in the human body begin to lock, and will eventually become completely immobile.

Early stages of contact with SCP-XXX will result in stiffness in the index finger Phalangeal joint in the right hand, and the Talocrural joint in the left leg. and will gradually spread up the right arm and left leg to the Glenohumeral joint and Acetaburalfemural joint. As soon as the stiffness reaches these joints they will lock, denying any movement in either the left leg or right arm. The locking of various joints will spread throughout the body, eventually resulting in complete immobilization of the subject affected. Subjects affected by SCP-XXX still capable of speech describe the locking of joints spreading in the shape of a North American passenger seat belt of a car. As of now, no bacteria has been found on the sign and is presumed to be an anomalous effect

SCP-XXX was discovered east of [REDACTED], New Mexico in █/██/17 on[REDACTED]road after Daniel Holmes, a driver for ██████LLC stopped after a mechanical issue on his truck. After leaning on the side of the sign,he reported stiffness in his hands for the rest of the day, and presumed it to be “some type of arthritis” After 3 days of “infection” he reported complete locking of his right hip, which is when the foundation stepped in.

Foreword Interview with Daniel Holmes after being in contact with SCP-XXX

Brace: Daniel Holmes what exactly did you feel when you touched the sign?

Holmes: I- I don't know my hands just got real stiff outta no where, but whats happening to me?
Brace: Mr. Holmes please remain calm for the duration of this interview, describe the stiffness in detail
Holmes: It-It started in my hands, real hard to move my fingers, you know? Then it went up my arm, and became hard to move, and then my shoulder, I couldn't move it at all, and the same thing began in my leg, please doctor just tell me what the [EXPLICIT] is happening to me!
Brace: How long did it take for your hip and shoulder to lock up and cease movement?
Holmes: Three days, about three days from when I leaned on the sign
Brace: And how did the joint locking spread?
Holmes: Well the first ones to lock were my shoulder and hip, then my other hip and shoulder locked and then down my legs and arms, but hasn't reached my ankle yet, it spread sorta like you would put a seat belt on.
Brace: And has the spreading been painful?
Holmes: No, but imagine not being able to stretch or move for almost a whole week.

Closing Statement: Daniel Holmes was quarantined for 4 days before the "infection" spread to his whole body, and was soon terminated afterwards due to possible contagion

As of now, 8 people affected by SCP-XXX have been discovered in the world, and have been contained, quarantined, and terminated by foundation personnel due to possibility of contagion.
