Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX's perimeter has to be guarded by designated MTF agents with proficency in close quarters combat at all times. No one is allowed to sleep while in proximity of SCP-XXXX's area. Guards surveiling SCP-XXXX must be given daily medications to avoid feelings of fatigue and must remain armed at all times. In case one or more unauthorized individuals manage to enter SCP-XXXX, they must be escorted out of the facility immediately. In case of resistance, guards are allowed to shoot, altough killing or making said individuals unconscious is prohibited and will be severely punished.

Description: SCP-XXXX is located in the north-eastern area of [REDACTED], in [REDACTED], and appears to be an abandoned cargo deposit, approximately 1 km wide in all sides. The deposit does not have a firm of any company, and despite the decadence of the location, no wildlife or person has ever been reported to be present inside SCP-XXXX's area at the time of discovery.
SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects manifest only when a living, sentient being sleeps, wether willingly or not, inside SCP-XXXX. To the outside look, the subject appears to be sleeping accordingly to the occasion, but field-tested EEG readings show that the individual is actually having a nightmare. Subjects that wake up after the tests show signs of physical and mental stress, describing an entity, hereby classified as SCP-XXXX-1.
SCP-XXXX-1 is described as a short, humanoid entity with jet black skin, lacking any facial feature. The entity is also surrounded by a seemingly fluid red aura, altough the color of said aura has been proved to change depending on the subject. Survivors of an encounter with SCP-XXXX-1 describe it as extremely aggressive, but lacking of high intelligence.
Around 80% of the times, subjects are capable of waking up, ending the effects of SCP-XXXX on them for 24 hours from the moment of their wake, while approximately 20% of the times the subjects blink out of existance.
