Per 
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-8862 is to be contained in an altered 2x2x2m (meter) Humanoid Containment Chamber, which has been outfitted to mirror that of a standard bedroom setting. SCP-8862's Containment Chamber is to be outfitted with four (4) surveillance cameras, one (1) of which is outfitted with thermal imaging. The floor of SCP-8862's Containment Chamber is outfitted to detect any form of vibrations using piezoelectric sensors. SCP-8862 is alert observation staff should the anomaly begin to feel drowsy before it's typical sleep schedule (23:00). Should any vibrations be detected, or visual instances of SCP-8862-1 be visually identified, Site Security are to be dispatched to terminate the instance of SCP-8862-1 with lethal force. Should SCP-8862 fail to awaken after prompting from Site Staff, a breach of containment is to be declared, and an instance of SCP-8862-1 is to be located and terminated.
To ensure in the upkeep of SCP-8862's health, SCP-8862 is to be given a 10mg (milligram) pill of the melatonin hormone to assist in sleeping. SCP-8862 is also to be provided with magnesium and Vitamin-D supplements at Breakfast.
SCP-8862 is to be kept to a strict regimen to ensure the psychological heath of SCP-8862. SCP-8862 is to be fed twice daily, at the hours of 08:30 and 21:00, and is to be fed an active diet of protein, grains, and vegetables. SCP-8862 is permitted to ask observation staff for small amounts of food during the day, typically provided in the form of fruits.
SCP-8862 is to be provided with items that it requests, following approval from one (1) Level 3 Scientific Personnel. To date, SCP-8862 has requested:
- Clothing in the form of black shirts, denim jeans, and plain black hoodies.
- Result: Approved, Hoodie Strings removed.
- Reading Material, in the form of classical writing and/or science fiction.
- Result: Approved.
Description: SCP-8862 is a Caucasian-American Male, approximately 17 years of age. SCP-8862 measures in at 5'8" (172.72cm) in height, and 132 lbs (51.71kg) in weight. SCP-8862 suffers from mild malnutrition. The anomaly has solid black hair and blue eyes. SCP-8862 was unable to be identified within population records of the area of which it was discovered, but has asked Site Personnel to refer to it as "Jack Bridge", yet does not display a preference between it's name and it's Foundation designation.
According to Foundation Psychological Examination (FPE), SCP-8862 suffers from Nightmare disorder, causing it to suffer from frequent nightmares. SCP-8862 is able to attend group therapy sessions within the Foundation's psychological department to counteract this disorder.

SCP-8862-1 is a collection of entities ranging in size and shape, but typically take the appearance of a shadowy figure, but has known to take the appearances of entities adhering to the fictional supernatural "skinwalker". All reported instances of manifested SCP-8862-1 have been noted to seem to suffer from severe malnutrition. SCP-8862-1 is capable of manifestation within a 1m (meter) radius around SCP-8862, and has been seen causing severe psychological distress to SCP-8862 during this time. SCP-8862-1 only manifests during the third stage of NREM sleep. Although SCP-8862 is within the 'deep sleep' cycle, SP-8862 with begin to writhe in physical pain and cry out when SCP-8862-1 is present. SCP-8862-1 is susceptible to small arms fire, and is capable of permanent termination and incineration. SCP-8862 will re-enter typical Stage-3 NREM following the termination of SCP-8862-1. SCP-8862-1 is suspected to feed off of the active brainwaves produced by living beings, but is typically seen preferring SCP-8862 over other living creatures. Instances of SCP-8862-1 have been noted to move in an anomalous fashion, often floating several inches of the floor.
Origin: The SCP Foundation was alerted to the existence of SCP-8862 following reports of several paranormal investigators being reported as missing following the investigation of "███████ Apartment Building No. 4" within the city of Richmond, Virginia. Upon Foundation investigation, it was discovered that multiple instances of SCP-8862-1 had manifested, and were collectively feeding off of SCP-8862 and the residents of the apartment building. All instances of SCP-8862-1 were tracked and terminated, and SCP-8862 was taken into Foundation custody without loss of life.
It is unknown how long SCP-8862 had been asleep, but it suspected to be approximately 1-2 weeks due to the malnutrition and physical damage to SCP-8862.
