Item 3907: SCP-3907

SCP class: Safe.

Special containment procedures: Following experiment #7, no personnel other than a class 3 researcher for surveillance purposes or higher with authorization of a 0-5 council member and absolute loyalty to the foundation is to be allowed to use SCP 3907. D-Class subjects used for further research are to be given class-A amnesiacs immediately following experimentation.

SCP-3907 is to be contained at site-██ inside a reinforced holding room, guarded with no less than 4 armed guards outside of it at all time.

Any unauthorized access attempt is to be met with lethal force.

The holding room where must be surveilled by security cameras, which themselves must be placed pointing behind it, at the sides and pointing directly downwards, allowing no blind spots while preventing view of the screen of SCP-3907

In case of a containment breach, the explosive devices installed on it must be detonated at once.

Description:SCP-3907 appears to be a normal flat screen television with no brand name, accompanied by a remote control for its operation.

SCP-3907 came into the foundation's attention after a covert agent learned from local rumors of a device used by a local criminal gang for the purpose of spying the local police station, to evade capture.

After further investigation, the SCP was recovered from the criminal gang, and the criminals themselves were drafted into D-class. Further question from them revealed that they came into possession of SCP-3907 after they found in abandoned in an alleyway, and realized its anomalous capabilities after extensive usage.

Removal of the back lid has shown an extremly intricate desing, with mechanical and electronic devices of unkown origin. Removal of parts of SCP-3907 for study has been denied, due to its critical role for GOI espionage, Foundation surveillace, and SCP contaiment.

Its anomalous properties begin to show once the user access a channel outside of public broadcasts range.

Testing has shown that SCP-3907 has the ability to tune in into all television broadcasting services around the world, not matter if these are out of range, require a paid subscription to access the channel, or one tries to access the channel on a location that would not allow the broadcasting signals, such as underground or under the range of communication disruptive devices. So long as it is connected to a power source, the object will function without problem.

Following experimentation has showed that after the user inputs a value greater than 30,014 on the remote control, the television will begin to show broadcast that do not belong to any television channel know of:

Further testing has shown the following results:

Test #1: D-class subject with low curiosity was given the remote control and given a list of channels numbers to tune in. Results showed various channels from various countries, ranging from movies, educational and children's channels, to news’s and pornographic ones.

Test #-2: Same class D-subject was given another list, containing channel numbers above 30,014. Results showed a view from Yellowstone national park, allowing view to the "old faithful" geyser, an apparent abandoned mine, and a view from the bottom of the ocean.

Test #-3: Same D-class subject was given a list, now containing random numbers, and was instructed to tune in. Results showed a view from inside a public library, view from an unknown planet, and a Chinese nuclear silo.

(Following the experiment, Class-D subject is given class-C amnesiacs, and the SCP is moved to a more secure location.)

Test #-4: Different Class-D subject is use for the test. Same procedures as the last test are used. Results showed a tutorial of unknown origins on how to create sarin, a barn in France, and an eye's point of view from an American broker.

(following the experiment, subject was given Class-C amnesiacs. The possibility of using the object as a method of espionage is being discussed.)

Test #-5: Different Class-D subject is used for the test. Same procedures are followed. Results showed an unknown site in space, an unknown exoplanet, and what appears to be a black hole.

Test #-6: Same Class-D subject is used for the test. Same procedures are followed. Results show a cavern, an unknown location in space, and the location of a GOC base of operations.

(following the experiment, D-class is given a class-B amnesiac, and SCP-3907 is moved to a more secure location. Use of SCP-3907 for espionage is approved by O-5 council. Testing is resumed on the day the object is not being used for GOC espionage.)

Test #-7: [DATA EXPUNGED]

(Following the experiment, all personnel involved with the experiment are given class-A amnesiacs, and all further experimentation is canceled by orders of O-5 council until further notice.)

Addendum-1: Following an O-5 resolution, use for espionage, experimentation and research of SCP-3907 has been allowed, under new restrictions.

Addendum-2: Following more experimentation, SCP-3907 has shown the location of several GOI locations, including another GOC base of operations, an UIU training facility, a member of Gamers against weed, and the residence of a suspected member of The Serpent's Hand. Raids and/or infiltration of these locations is still pending approval.
