Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
[[The Whereabouts of SCP-XXXX are currently unknown]]
Special Containment Procedures:
—SCP-XXXX has no special containment procedures. SCP-XXXX must remain powered at all times, connection to the main electricity appears to be sufficient. Any contact with SCP-XXXX is only to be allowed after receiving permission from [[Dr. █████]] and must be closely observed.—
SCP-XXXX is to be fully isolated from the facility and staff. The containment cell of SCP-XXXX should be constructed of cement thick enough to block any incoming outgoing WiFi or sound capable of being produced by SCP-XXXX or any of its derivatives. There are to be no cameras or observation windows into SCP-XXXX’s cell.
The power delivered to the cell must be done using a generator that is also self-contained in an adjacent room and should be refilled when necessary by D-Class personnel who must remain silent for the duration of this process. D-Class personnel should be frequently cycled through this duty.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is a digital glitch able to control both computers and humans. Once SCP-XXXX infects a Subject the Subject body loses all previous functionality, even after the withdrawal of SCP-XXXX. There are currently no known methods to revive the Subject except through the reintroduction of SCP-XXXX.
While SCP-XXXX has infected a Subject the energy efficiency of the Subject Body will be greatly increased. In computers this results in a large increase in battery life and in human hosts it decreases the need for food and water.
SCP-XXXX is able to transfer itself to hosts through two known methods:
Method 1: Physical Contact. While SCP is in hosted in SCP-XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX can be transferred through the opening of the CD-ROM Drive. This method can be achieved without any previous communication and SCP-XXXX seems to have no control over this method of transfer.
Method 2: Communication. After communicating with SCP-XXXX for long periods of time SCP-XXXX is able to transfer to any nearby Subjects without physical contact. It is hypothesised that SCP-XXXX needs to create a full mental profile of a Subject before it is able to transfer, however, further testing is required to confirm this.
SCP-XXXX is currently held captive in form SCP-XXXX-1 a █████ brand laptop. SCP-XXXX-1 is able to initiate conversations with Subjects through its display screen however these are not visible on video recordings. Subjects are able to communicate with SCP-XXXX-1 through the use of the keyboard. The method by which SCP-XXXX was able to become SCP-XXXX-1 remains unknown.
SCP-XXXX-3 to SCP-XXXX-█: Various D-Class personnel who became infected after testing. A wide range of ages, genders and personalities were tested and there seems to be no discrimination on behalf of SCP-XXXX.
Addendum:
Test A - ██/██/████ - ██/██/████
Subject: SCP-XXXX-2 - The original, █ year old owner of the laptop mentioned in SCP-XXXX-1.
Procedure:
Withholding food and water from Subject SCP-XXXX-2 in order to force transferrance to SCP-XXXX-1, in order for safer containment. Results:
SCP-XXXX-2 initially complained and shouted in a manner befitting the SCP-XXXX-2's apparent age.
After ██ days without food or water SCP-XXXX transferred to SCP-XXXX-1 through the opening of the CD-ROM drive.
Once SCP-XXXX had transferred, the Subject's body was unresponsive and there was no vital signs. Autopsy revealed that the internal organs had decomposed in a pattern consistent with the time since infection by SCP-XXXX. There was little evidence this had been exacerbated by lack of food or water.Analysis:
The time before SCP-XXXX transferred was significantly longer than the predicted █ days which was the estimated time a child of █ years of age could go without water. SCP-XXXX therefore appears to be able to increase the efficiency of a Subject's body to extraordinary levels. The method for this remains unknown the decomposition of the body's organs suggest that the body should have been incapable of survival. Further tests are required.
