Item #: SCP-xxxx
Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-xxxx is to be guarded at all times by two ‘loiterers’ in casual clothing standing outside the entrance, as well as two ‘employees’ - wearing replicas of SPC-xxxx-2’s uniform [see Subcomponent Description File] - inside. All guards must be armed with a taser. The blinds must be drawn and a
‘Closed’ sign must be visible through one of the windows at all times, and any subjects who attempt entry regardless must be persuaded otherwise by the ‘loiterers’ or escorted out by the ‘employees’. If any further attempt is made to enter either room, guards are authorized to use non-lethal incapacitation methods, including their taser.
Guards must be cycled every two weeks and undergo a psych evaluation upon transferring in and out. Any guards who enter the copying room - without clearance from Head Researcher (Dr. ██████ ████) or an 05 council member - are to be studied and then demoted to D-Class for breaking containment procedures.
All SCP-xxxx-4-1b items are to be stored in individual low-risk boxes in site ██’s storage facility. SPC-xxxx-4-1a and SPC-xxxx-4-1c should be stored in separate standard containment lockers at site ██.
Description: SCP-xxxx, discovered ██/█/19██, is a small store in a high activity shopping center in ███████, ██████ - a neon sign on the front labels it “Kelly’s Kopies”. The known structure of SCP-xxxx consists of a waiting room - which contains a front desk, opposite a row of 5 chairs lining the west wall with a small table at both ends, on which sit an assortment of magazines (designated SCP-xxxx-1) that mirror what one may find in an average waiting room, but at closer inspection have minor distortions or warpings to the faces and objects on the pages - a back room (SCP-xxxx-3), which can be reached through a door behind the counter, and a copying room (SCP-xxxx-4) - containing a single copier (SCP-xxxx-4-1) and [DATA EXPUNGED]. Behind the front desk stands an employee (SCP-xxxx-2); tests show that these employees are not sentient beings, and seem to exist simply to carry out the will of the store, which is considered sentient. Employees are able to enter and exit through the door behind the desk freely, and may even invite a subject to come with them - any subjects, researchers, or guards who enter the back room are to be presumed KIA, as ordered by 05-█.
SCP-xxxx appears to be able to sense subjects within a radius of █ █████████ in need of copies; the subject will then feel an urge to visit Kelly’s Kopies, even if they previously had no knowledge of the place. This anomalous effect only applies to those who have never visited before, as subjects that have used SCP-xxxx to copy anything will begin to feel the urge to use SCP-xxxx again, even outside SCP-xxxx’s range. Repeated exposure to SCP-xxxx causes an ‘addiction’ of sorts, and the more it is used, the more intense the ‘addiction’ to using it grows. One visit does not affect the subject’s psyche, other than a vague desire to go back, but a second visit will trigger a rapidly growing want - which evolves into a physical need after approximately █ visits - to return. Subjects will make any excuse to use SCP-xxxx again, and will copy as much as possible on return. Subjects that do not return after their ██th visit will [DATA EXPUNGED].
SCP-xxxx-1: Magazines ranging from tabloids to popular scientific magazines such as ████████ ██████████, but contain subtle differences from their real-world look-alikes. Many faces have similar features to their counterpart, but seem to be less recognizable. Objects, especially of well-known brands seem generic and average. Distinctions between products are hazy and difficult to identify. The reason for this is unknown, though Dr. █████████ has speculated that it could be because SCP-xxxx finds it difficult to perfectly replicate objects without using SCP-xxxx-4-1.
SCP-xxxx-2: Employees with features average to the point of being hard to remember, wearing khakis and a yellow polo shirt with the words "Kelly’s Kopies" and a common name stitched into it.
SCP-xxxx-3: The back room has only been seen in brief glimpses. See Experiment 0043 and Incident xxxx-7.
SCP-xxxx-4: A room labeled “Kopy Room” in pink paint on the door. SCP-xxxx-2 will encourage entering this room. Parts of the room other than SCP-xxxx-4-1 are difficult to focus on, and attention is always subconsciously drawn to SCP-xxxx-4-1.
SCP-xxxx-4-1: A brandless copy machine generic in appearance. Messy letters in pink paint on its side read "KOPY MACHINE".
Experiment Reports
Experiment Report 0001: █/█/19██
D-2947 entered the copy room with several items, attempting to gather information on what objects SCP-xxxx-4-1 is able to copy, along with a description of the room. D-2947 could not describe the room, but was able to record a list of SCP-xxxx-4-1’s duplications, which are as follows:
- D-2947’s hand - exact replica made of human flesh and bone; identical on both front and back; has shown no signs of decomposition despite lacking a body and being left at room temperature for approximately █ months, and has thus been designated SCP-xxxx-4-1a.
- A rubber duck - identical in composition and appearance.
- Two sticks of bubble-gum: identical in composition to the originals; D-2947's consumption of one displayed no negative effects.
- A copy of containment procedures for a fabricated “SCP-0000”.
- 1 pill (Ibuprofen, 200 mg): testing showed it to have an unknown compound inside; further inspection required at this time.
One item D-2947 entered with could not be replicated exactly:
- A lab rat (Alive): SCP-xxxx created a perfect physical duplicate of the rat - upon dissection it was found that the copy had all the proper organs and systems to function - but the rat never lived. The rat copy, designated SPC-xxxx-4-1c, like SCP-xxxx-4-1a, has yet to decompose.
All items copied by SCP-xxxx-4-1 (with the exception of SCP-xxxx-4-1a and SCP-xxxx-4-1c) will be collectively referred to as SCP-xxxx-4-1b.
Experiment Report 0022: █/██/19██
See Incident Report xxxx-3.
By request of Dr. ██████ ████, D-5823 was sent inside the copy room to gather a sample from a wet spot on the ground. D-5823 did not need anything copied, and reported feeling slightly sick while in the room. Subject stated they felt had a constant urge to go find something to copy and come back, which dissipated along with the nausea once they left the kopy room. The sample was tested and found to have similar elements and composition to human and canine saliva.
On account of the effects on D-5823, I’m requesting that future Experiment Reports log whether they intend to copy something during the test.

Experiment Report 0032: ██/█/20██
Intending to Copy: No
Description: D-6846 entered the back room with the intention of investigating it - which has been attempted in tests 0001, 0019, and 0023, but subjects also intended to make copies while there - subject was equipped with a microphone and the audio was recorded.
Transcript:
Dr. ████: “Okay [D-6848], what do you see?”
D-6848: “It’s-It’s wet? And dark? It looks like there’s something like pillars against the walls - or maybe are the wall?”
[Static]
[Aprox. 30 Seconds of Quiet Shuffling, Followed by Labored Breathing from D-6848]
Dr. ████: “D-6848, are you there?”
D-6848: “Uh, yeah. The room just moved.”
Dr. ████: “Moved?”
D-6848: Yeah, moved - like, the whole thing just shifted. I-Are we done yet? I feel like I’m gonna puke-”
[Coughing]
Dr. ████: “D-6848? Markus?”
[Coughing Intensifies]
[Loud Static]
D-6848: “Doc I-”
[D-6848 Screams]
[Loud Static]
[Silence]
[End of Recording]
Body of D-6848 never recovered and is presumed to be KIA.
Experiment Report 0043: ██/█/20██
Intending to Copy: N/A
A drone equipped with a camera - streaming live to site ██, and recorded on both ends - was sent into SCP-xxxx-3, where it briefly viewed the inside. After approximately .7 seconds the feed was cut as the drone was destroyed. Captured in the few frames is what appears to be part of a very large eye.
Retrieval of drone forbidden.
Incident Reports
Incident Report xxxx-3: █/█/19██
D-7392, formerly an ‘employee’, entered the kopy room. When asked by Dr. █████ ████████ to describe the inside of the room, D-7392 found that he could not pinpoint any details other than it being extremely humid, possessing an odd airflow pattern - describing it as “a breeze moving to one side and coming back warm the other direction.” - and a "squishy, wet floor".
Incident Report xxxx-7: █/█/20██
[DATA EXPUNGED]. Subject followed SCP-xxxx-2 into the back room, even after ‘employee’ ██████ █████’s attempts to physically pull them back. Witnesses heard a scream and saw [DATA EXPUNGED] while the door was cracked open. Once it closed, the room went silent. Witnesses claimed to taste a metallic liquid, but did not experience any pain.
Incident Report xxxx-13: █/██/20██
During Experiment 0048 [Not Attached], subject D-3086 discovered what looked to be a severed leg near the kopy machine inside SCP-xxxx-4. Subject ran back to the waiting room, and despite D-3086 having been exposed to the kopy machine █ times, the 'addiction' was halted and the subject refused to enter again. Shock or fear seems to override any and all anomalous effects on subjects.
Addendum: After the events of Experiment 0032, entry to kopy room without copying an item requires clearance from either two Level 3 personnel, Dr. ██████ ████, or an 05 member and is limited to 4.5 minutes maximum. Subjects that do use the kopy machine are limited to maximum 8 minutes inside.
