Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a 5x5x5 room at Site-27. No less than two armed personnel are to guard this room at all times. Should an individual approach SCP-XXXX's containment without proper clearance, they are to be subject to detention/termination. Applications to use SCP-XXXX for research purposes can be granted by filling out form A/H Research Grant/XXXX. A/H Research Grant/XXXX must be approved by at least two Ethics Committee members, by at least one O5 Council member, or by at least three personnel of rank 4 or higher.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a mask, about 25 cm in width, resembling sculptures produced by the Cycladic culture¹. SCP-XXXX is comprised of an unknown copper alloy, despite having the appearance of marble. SCP-XXXX has no other noticeable anomalous properties unless worn. When an individual places SCP-XXXX on their face, it will become impossible to remove. The object will then begin to make lesions on the individual’s face. SCP-XXXX will sporadically² detach from the individual’s face after approximately 20-30 minutes. If SCP-XXXX does not detach, it will [DATA EXPUNGED]. The subject will then become an instance of SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 will convert into the same material as SCP-XXXX and gain the features of Cycladic culture sculptures over a period of approximately 3-4 hours. When this process is complete, SCP-XXXX will detach in about 24-168 hours, after which SCP-XXXX-1 will become unresponsive to any and all stimuli.
Instances of SCP-XXXX-1, while attached to SCP-XXXX, while completely immobile and unable to interact with their surroundings, are sapient, and are capable of speaking multiple languages, including Phoenician, five dialects of Greek, Ancient Egyptian, Venetian³, English, four dialects of [DATA EXPUNGED], and two unknown languages. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 believe themselves to be a Mekhanite priestess, referring to itself as "Azibal, Chartophylakissa⁴ of The Faith". SCP-XXXX-1 instances remember the experiences of previous instances, implying some level of sapience within SCP-XXXX itself. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are cooperative with the Foundation, answering questions about the history of the Mekhanite Faith and the philosophies, theologies, and practices of several historical sects without coercion and sometimes unprompted. As a large amount of information provided by instances of SCP-XXXX-1 has later been corroborated with other sources, and has led to the acquisition of ██ objects and the neutralization of █ threats to The Foundation and/or the world at large, instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are considered a trustworthy source of information regarding the Church of the Broken God.

Special Containment Procedures:A 10 kilometer perimeter surrounding SCP-XXXX is to be monitored for unauthorized access at all times. Any who enter this area are to be detained and, if necessary, amestised. A series of memetic agents are to be placed in road signs in Interstates 80, 680, and 29, to discourage entrance into the SCP-XXXX exclusion zone. The Internet is to be constantly monitored to detect possible mentions of SCP-XXXX. Human residents of SCP-XXXX are to leave the exclusion zone only after amnesisation. Instances of SCP-XXXX- are to leave the exclusion zone only with the approval of [DATA EXPUNGED]. The SCP-XXXX Senator to the Nebraska Unicameral is to be removed from all images, televised broadcasts, or other media produced about or by the Nebraska Unicameral. Viewers to the Unicameral and former Unicameral members are to be amnestized. Any personnel assigned to SCP-XXXX must be fluent in Maltese, and have some understanding of Phoenician and Avestan.

Description: SCP-XXXX is the designation for the city of Ħasijrat, located 55 kilometers north of ███████ ██████, IA. SCP-XXXX has a population of ███,███ sapient entities⁶, mostly residing underground. The city is allowed to govern itself⁷ under joint administration of the states of Nebraska and Iowa in accordance with the Interstate Compact for the Administration of the Newly Manifested City of Ħasijrat and Control of the Anomalies Thereof (ICANMCĦCAT) of 1901.
SCP-XXXX is home to two species of Anomalous Entities, henceforth referred to as SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2, alongside various human residents. SCP-XXXX-1 instances are on average 1.37 meters tall, and appear to have thick, almost chitinous skin, and largely pronounced cheekbones.⁸
The native language of SCP-XXXX is almost identical to Maltese, with some loanwords from Phoenician, Avestan, and [DATA EXPUNGED]. The main religion of SCP-XXXX is referred to as Ġalderi. Ġalderi is polytheistic, with deities that bear significant resemblances to ones originating from Canaanite, Greco-Roman, Egyptian, Native American, and various other pantheons. The other major religion is Mazdakism⁹. Ħasijrat is about 65% Ġalderi and 45% Mazdakist. Neither of these religions have any known anomalous properties. Residents of SCP-XXXX are cooperative with the Foundation.

Addendum XXXX-1: History
The first record of SCP-XXXX is in 1798¹⁰, when around 5,000 Mazdakists settled in what would eventually become Ħasijrat after being exiled from established colonies on the eastern coast. The population of the town would steadily grow due to continued emigration from the east. By 1850, the majority of the population was Ġalderi, and by May 25th of 1872, the population was ██,███, which was a sizable population for the time.
On June 7th, 1872, SCP-XXXX appeared in our universe via an unknown method. The anomaly was discovered later that same day and by June 15th, 1867 a containment zone was established by the Commission for Regulated and Unified Occultic Research (CRUOR)¹¹.
