Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX, its containment only required no line of sight towards it. Thus, SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a simple lock box, the combination of which is to be written on a Post-it note attached to the side. This Post-it note it not to be removed, and doing so will result in light punishment.

Description: SCP-XXXX appearance is a small, plain, smooth grey stone. When SCP-XXXX is physically observed (it has been confirmed that the effects of SCP-XXXX do not affect a person who is viewing it through a screen. The observer will be called SCP-XXXX-1) SCP-XXXX-1 will begin to experience psychotic symptoms of schizophrenia, the most apparent being hallucinations (specifically auditoral). SCP-XXXX-1 often experiences what is described as “blaring drums being played inside my head,” and “man constantly screaming.” About four (4) minutes after exposure to SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-1 will begin to experience visual hallucinations, all of which have been described as “a slur of neon, mostly red blue and yellow.” No specific pattern has been described, and seem to move randomly across SCP-XXXX-1 vision.

These hallucinations will cease on average five (5) minutes after line of sight has been broken between SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-1. From then on SCP-XXXX-1 will occasionally have trumatic episodes of it’s experience with SCP-XXXX, often when listening to music with extended drum solos, which appear to be the closest description of the auditory hallucinations. It is still unknown if the voice SCP-XXXX-1 is hearing is speaking coherent english, but it is considered to be speaking only gibberish.
