Special Containment Procedures: Currently housed in Research Site-45, SCP-X is to be contained within a standard heavy containment-research chamber and held in place by several heavy duty restraints connected to its chassis. SCP-X is to be monitored at all times and any changes in its behavior are to be documented and reported to Site Administration immediately. SCP-X is to be provided with 1 litre of pure water and 600 grams of combined nutrient and protein paste upon its request.

Description: SCP-X is a bionic organism, genetically similar to homo-sapiens, sealed into an armored chassis comprised of several extremely resilient poly-carbonates and unknown alloys. As well as serving as a mode of conveyance for SCP-X, the casing also contains advanced life support systems, weaponry, a power source, as well as other technologies. Scans suggest that SCP-X would be unable to survive if removed from this apparatus.

Despite being genetically similar to humans, scans show that SCP-X's organic structure has little resemblance to that of a modern human and appears synthetic in its layout, working extremely efficiently alongside inorganic implants.

SCP-X is sentient and capable of speech however it often refuses to acknowledge the presence of any outside stimuli despite scans indicating that it is permanently conscious. When SCP-X does choose to interact with personnel, it is typically only active for a day or two before returning to this state of inactivity. The only predictable occurrence of these active periods is every 4-6 months, in which SCP-X will request "nutrients".

Since its containment, SCP-X's casing has been in a state of serious damage which has rendered its weaponry inoperable.

Foreword: SCP-X was approached by the research team after an unusually long period of activity.

Hay: Hello, my name is Richard Hay, I understand that you aren't very talkative so I'll try to keep this as comfortable as possible for you. I've come to ask you some questions, is that alright with you?

[SCP-X's vision port brightens, it rotates its upper chassis to view the interview window.]

SCP-X: Understood.

Hay: I'll keep my first few questions simple. What are you?

SCP-X: I am a soldier.

Hay: I meant as in your species, biologically, what are you?

SCP-X: Human.

Hay: Then wh- do you know why your anatomy is so different from mine?

SCP-X: Adjustments were necessary.

Hay: Interesting. Next question: is there a reason you're not typically this 'active'?

SCP-X: Affirmative.

Hay: Could you… tell me?

[SCP-X lowers its vision port, looking toward the floor.]

SCP-X: My sole purpose was to fight, to win the war. I am unable to for-fill that purpose, I am unable to fight. I have no purpose.

Hay: Which war are we talking about? You were found in the Nevada desert, there's no wars in that area.

SCP-X: The war.

Hay: Could you elaborate further? where did this war take place?

SCP-X: The earth.

Hay: The earth? could you elaborate further? which region?

SCP-X: I do not understand this question.

[There is a brief break in conversation lasting for 20 seconds.]

Hay: So, how did you end up in the Nevada desert?

SCP-X: Exploitation of temporal anomaly. Systems were unable to handle heavy fluctuation, I was stranded once I had exited the anomaly.

Hay: 'Temporal'? You're… from the future?

SCP-X: Affirmative.

Hay: So this war you're mentioning, it happens in the future. Can you tell me about it?

[SCP-X remains silent]

SCP-X: Now that the embers do not surround me… I see now the true horrors. Billions were eradicated. The stars had been converted into weaponry. They bled across the skies. Survival of the species was uncertain.

SCP-X: I escaped.

SCP-X: I fell through time itself, before the war that defined me even began. I failed.

Hay: Hey, you and me both, we're human. Self preservation isn't something to feel ashamed of… tell you what, you wanted a purpose, right?

[SCP-X raises its vision port, re-facing the interview window.]

Hay: You can help us stop the war from ever happening, save those billions of lives. If you can tell us how it started, we can-

SCP-X: All units are equipped with twelve petabyte storage units.

[SCP-X extends a tool from its chassis, displaying a hologram of a battlefield]

SCP-X: I am capable of uploading all information to your database if required.

[Hay stares at the hologram in shock before vomiting. He is quickly evacuated from the room.]

Closing Statement: SCP-X uploaded the files onto a closed off foundation network. The information regarding the future conflict presented by SCP-X has been classified as cosmic top secret. A request to the O5 council is currently underway to begin preparations to prevent the conflict from occurring.

SCP-X: Elaborate.

Hay: That history lesson you uploaded told us we could stop it all if we took out that facility. Why didn't it warn us.

SCP-X: I lied.

Hay: You lied? YOU LIED!?

SCP-X: Correct.

Hay: Your little 'lie' just started an international dispute with Russia! Foundation facilities are being taken over by the Russian government and the UN is practically collapsing, do you have ANY idea what your little ''lie' has caused?

SCP-X: Affirmative.

Hay: What.

SCP-X: The war.

We've been examining the technologies present inside of SCP-X for some time but we've never been able to fully understand any of them until now. The recent data that it has shared with us is opening our eyes to the inner workings of these technologies after all this time. Everything it has would be revolutionary, its not just limited to one field either, we could have effectively bullet proof armor, computers thousands of times more powerful, life saving medication and more rolling out in just a few short years. The only problem is getting more people working on the project.
