Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 1 m by 1 m cylindrical titanium chamber with soundproofed walls and standard issue security cameras. At least 2 Class-D personnel must be in the chamber with SCP-XXXX at all times.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a tablet made out of marble. It was retrieved from a garage sale in <REDACTED>, United States in 1974. The tablet has etchings of what is suspected to be Constantine IV. Every 2 weeks, the etching changes, and a message in broken Latin can be seen on the back, but only with the use of a mirror. Various anomalous properties have been discovered since the containment of SCP-XXXX. Certain effects can be observed with the presence of corresponding text and etchings. The following is a list of discovered anomalous properties exhibited by SCP-XXXX along with the corresponding text translations and picture descriptions:
PROPERTY 1:
- TEXT: "Deo Sanguis" (God's Blood)
- PICTURE: Constantine IV is standing in some sort of palace. His eyes are gone, sockets exposed with blood seeping from them.
- EFFECT: Every human within a 0.5 m range of the tablet start to bleed from their eyes, though no pain is experienced. Withing 17 hours of exposure to the tablet, the human will begin to gradually lose their vision. Within 72 hours of exposure, all vision is lost, rendering the human completely blind. This is followed by what is described as a "skull splitting-migraine" that persists for at least 2 months. Most who experience this take their own lives, and the few who have survived have lost sanity.
PROPERTY 2:
- TEXT: "Libidine" (Lust)
- PICTURE: Constantine IV is lying on a bed in what is suspected to be a brothel, 2 naked females(?) cling to his arms. Constantine IV is fully clothed and crying.
- EFFECT: Every human within a 0.5 m range of the tablet, 2 hours after being exposed to it start to cry hysterically for 30 minutes, after this, they will attempt to murder anyone within a 10 foot range of themselves with any object available, usually resorting to unconventional/improvised weapons. After they kill all people within range, the subject will then attempt to <REDACTED> the carcass. This has resulted in <REDACTED> from various diseases due to the <REDACTED> of <REDACTED>.
PROPERTY 3:
- TEXT: "Irae Dei" (Wrath of God)
- PICTURE: Constantine IV is lying on the floor of a palace chamber. He seems disoriented, a strange silhouetted figure looms over him.
- EFFECT: Within 30 seconds of exposure to the tablet, subject begins have violent seizures and foam at the mouth. Strange tumor-like growths begin to appear rougly 1.2 cm below subjects skin, most commonly appearing on the arms and legs, these tumors do not seem to have any harmful effects. After this, the Subject will experience (what is suspected to be) CHS (Central Hypoventialtion Syndrome) during their first night of sleep after exposure to the tablet, resulting in a strange form of Respiratory arrest in which subjects go the entire night without breathing, this usually results in death by asphyxiation. The remaining subjects' skull then begins to shrink at varying rates, usually resulting in the crushing of the brain within 70-90 hours, depending on the rate of shrinkage and size of subject's brain/skull.
