Fig. 1.1: A lost section of AL-102.
Modified Containment Procedures: A chain-link perimeter around SCP-XXXX's previous habituated zone is to be maintained. For ease of documentation, this zone has been designated AL-102 despite its non-anomalous status.
At weekly intervals, one attending researcher is to enter the forest within AL-102 and surveil for notable abnormalities. The exact qualities possessed by "notable abnormalities" are likely unimportant, but include:
- Presentation of humanoids.
- Scopaesthesia.1
- Occurrence of voices (not belonging to the assigned researcher).
- Associative prosopagnosia.2
- Causal/probabilistic incongruencies which indicate the presence of another force.
- Dissolution of self (not belonging to the assigned researcher) into larger amalgamated entities.
- Additional abnormal phenomena left to researcher discretion which would indicate the restoration of SCP-XXXX.
The previous restrictions on visitations within AL-102 stand post-neutralization; for the psychological safety of on-site personnel, no visitation is to last longer than one week. Additional measures to transition assigned personnel into ordinary Foundation operations in the absence of SCP-XXXX have been implemented and include frequent psycho-therapeutic sessions and esoteric rehabilitation methods.
The effects of SCP-XXXX's current status on the Foundation at large are unknown and likely unknowable, and therefore cannot be accounted for. All major internal departments — namely Containment, Finances, Security, and Defense — have been warned of speculated probabilistic manipulation in the absence of SCP-XXXX. Following the confirmation of hostile activity, global Foundation operations will be modified under PROTOCOL ICARUS-RED.
The circumstances of SCP-XXXX's neutralization, and the possible negligence of AL-102 personnel, are under investigation.
Whether by esoteric or mundane means, it is considered imperative to the continued operation of the Foundation that SCP-XXXX be restored.
CONTAINMENT MEMORANDUM FOR AL-102 PERSONNEL
Procedure stands, despite the ambiguity. SCP-XXXX's previous classification as Thaumiel is to be ignored; for all intents and purposes, SCP-XXXX is currently neutralized.
The future is uncertain, but the past and present are clear. Whatever happened, it wasn't your fault. Thank you for understanding.
