Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently suspended in a standard 10×10×10m containment cell at Site-19. Access to SCP-XXXX is restricted to personnel with Level 3 security clearance or higher. The removal of SCP-XXXX from its containment cell must be authorised by the Site Director.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a spherical object, roughly 2.5m in diameter. It is made of an extremely strong, hard metal alloy, containing tungsten, chromium, and several other transition metals.
A complex pattern is engraved on the artifact’s surface, which glows an iridescent green whenever it detects a sentient being within approximately 5m (during testing, a dog was placed inside the cell and the object remained inactive). Whether the pattern has a purpose beside aesthetics is still to be confirmed, but whenever it begins to glow, it broadcasts a telepathic signal to every sentient being in the given radius, which has been understood by all personnel during testing so far, regardless of which language they speak. What the signal says exactly changes with each person, but the basics of what it communicates are:
- It contains roughly the same energy as 100 terratons of TNT.
- It can be activated per a lever on the top.
