The Green Box: status Euclid
Containment: The "Green Box" as it has been dubbed by security personnel that are tasked with guarding SCP #### is to be kept in a steel lock box (SCP ####-B) that is to be kept floating in a 3 by 3 meter steel walled containment cell flooded approximately 3/4 of the way with distilled water. The only view into the cell is through night vision cameras. Water jets have been installed into the walls of the cell as to keep SCP ####-a from coming into contact with any walls of the cell. The cell is to be kept in complete darkness of at all times
SCP #### description: SCP #### is a seemingly perfect 10 by 10 cm pure black cube that appears to be made of Basalt. Images of SCP #### during the containment process have shown it to be perfectly smooth with an almost artificially polished complexion to the stone in is made of. SCP #### has been weighed in at 9kg 3 times heavier than and denser then normal basalt. Whether this is due to anomalous properties or otherwise is up to debate.
Origin: SCP #### was first discovered in a cave (SCP ####-A) approximately 1.2 kilometres bellow the surface of █████████ Saudi Arabia in 2007, by a archaeological research team led by Dr. Yousef Khan. When first discovered amazed by its seemingly perfect dimensions and surface it was soon thought to be a fallen part of heaven similar to the Kaaba (or Ka'bah). The conditions SCP #### were retrieved from are unknown. After the discovery of SCP #### by Dr. Khan's team they had placed SCP #### in a sealed container presumably to protect it from any impacts it may sustain while climbing to the surface. The team then drove to the near by town of █████████ to show their seemingly holy discovery to the towns people. It was approximately 26 hours later when a U.S. military helicopter was passing by what was once the town viewing a large green mass of what appeared to be tropical vegetation. The military personnel in the helicopter hovered at 900 meters mapping dimensions of the mass of vegetation which they deliver to their most immediate superior along with the following audio message.
Military personnel 1:
"Sir, we attempted to map the dimensions of the mass but it seemingly grew too fast to get precise measurements but, it was growing in all directions at the same rate."
MTF BREIF
it takes about two hours for The Foundation to be reached with the information of the the seeming extremely quick growing mass of vegetation. MTF Zeta-A and MTF Zeta-B "Fire Ants" and "Spider Monkeys" respectively were sent to the mass of vegetation to both gain information about it and attempt to to dispose of it if necessary. They were provided with standard issue deployment gear as well as additional incendiary rounds as well as incendiary grenades. Instead of a standard issue knife they were provided machetes as to deal with the described thick vegetation. The two teams were tasked with finding the source of the mass and to detain it.
Addendum ####-A1 (Retrieval)
Upon arrival the mass of vegetation appeared to be around 67% larger in volume than recorded by the aforementioned Military Personnel. The "Fire Ants" and "Spider Monkeys" were airdropped onto the top of the mass of vegetation at the approximate center of the masses area. MTF member Zeta-B-4 related the density of the vegetation to course wool, the two teams were able to stand on the mass with little give.
