Special Containment Procedures: As it is impossible to move the object due to it's mass weight, length and height, it is to remain at it's location. The Location will be camouflaged by a camouflage net.
Facility members will be posted at this site. The site will contain all the necessary equipment needed to sustain human life for 6 months,and regular delivery of supplies will occur every 3 months. No unauthorized access is allowed. This procedure is to occur with extreme prejudice. All scientists entering the object must be given the designated equipment load, not limited to: hiking gear, water, nutrition packs, gas masks, and mountain climbing gear. The limit that they can spend inside is 120 minutes, after which all personnel must exit. All equipment must be taken back. Lost equipment will be paid by the ones that lost them. Walking outside of the are (2 km to be exact) is highly discouraged.
Description: SCP-4987 is a undiscovered, until recently, ancient Mayan pyramid in (Redacted). On the top of the pyramid is a hole to an underground chamber. The chamber is lined with stones carvings, showing what looks like meteor impacts, earthquakes, tsunamis, and forest fires, and the Mayan glyph for 2-0-1-2 are carved everywhere. The end of the chamber has a gilded stone door. Going through the door, one will end up in another chamber that is a mirror image of the one that they just exited. Going out side of the pyramid will reveal a landscape just like the one the personnel just came from, except there is no human activity on that side, and 2 km out past the pyramid, one will find an swirling wall of clouds like in a hurricane. Anyone who walks into this wall of clouds disappears, never to be seen again . That side is an inverse image of our world. There is no change in day-night cycles. 1 km past, there is a small abandoned village made of grass and stones. there is no one there. All evidence found there supports the idea that the villagers left in a hurry. After about an 20 hours , a large shower of meteor will appear, each one getting closer and closer to the pyramid. The meteors will then land with a large impact. Wildfires will appear all over the landscape. This is followed by a magnitude 10 earthquake. Strangely, the village will collapse, but the pyramid will remain. Finally, a massive wave of water will flood the area from an unknown source. The area seemingly repairs itself every day by midnight. The events reset every day.
