Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4768 is contained within a small black box in a locked, reinforced glass case. It may be opened by senior staff utilizing an electronic keycard.
Description: SCP-4768 is a pair of red over-ear headphones. It was originally given to a child for Christmas but released a blast of sound that killed the boy. SCP-4768 is considered safe until worn by a subject. When worn, SCP-4768 will “power on” and begin playing audio without outside influence. The audio and its effects vary between tests from lo-fi/calming and intense focus to “death metal”/attempted murder of two agents and suicide of subject(see Test Logs 4768-A and 4768-B)

EFFECTS Subject sat down against the wall and began to immediately become extremely calm, almost drowsy. Then, the subject began to intensely focus on their thoughts and work. The subject developed a thesis on global warming, solved 100 advanced mathematic equations and wrote a 3-part symphony within the testing period (45 minutes). | NOTES It now appears the output by 4768 affects the subject based on type or genre. Get with Dr. ██████ about methods of possibly controlling output of/ communicating with SCP-4768. |

EFFECTS Subject made small movements to the apparent rhythm of the song and soon began dancing. This lasted the full testing period (45 minutes). | NOTES Afterwards, the subject was extremely “motivated” for the next (1) hour. We believe that SCP-4768 has evolved to be able to affect subjects after they have removed it. Get Dr. ██████████ on it ASAP. Future testing will be adjusted to 1 hr 30 mins and conducted daily for the time being. |

EFFECTS Subject immediately began throwing itself against the wall and performing a motion defined as “headbanging” with its hand in the air. It then started attacking the viewing window and shattered it. The glass was Grade-1 resistant glass. The subject then attacked Dr. ██████ and Agent ████. They were both found dead after the subject was located. They sustained multiple fatally powerful blunt force blows to the skull. They required DNA analysis to be identified. Subject was killed by a self-inflicted gash to the throat with a razor. The subject also injured one Dr. ████████. | NOTES There will be continued testing however with much more (armed) supervision. Dr. ██████ has developed a method of communication for SCP-4768. We will test it next session after clean-up. |

EFFECTS Two (2) agents killed, walls damaged. | NOTES It appears that 4768 did not take well to the device Dr.██████ put together. SCP-4768 is to be isolated until further notice. Has become too dangerous for use or testing for now. In the meantime analyze all possible sources that we have to figure out why it became so violent again. How did it make that noise without exploding? |
