Special Containment Procedures: testing apparatus for SCP-XYXX are to be contained inside of a 6x6x6 cuboid cell. A standard military class Computer hard drive capable of storing up to 2 (two) terabytes of storage is to be connected to a 13" Computer monitor. Access to SCP-XYXX is limited to level 4 researchers. unauthorized personnel accessing SCP-XYXX are to be amnesticized if a {REDACTED} period has passed. Computer based appliances are to be scanned weekly using a {REDACTED}. Description: which appears to have {REDACTED} any detailing of the face is surrounded by a fuzzy lining. Direct eye contact with the P2's eyes will cause the viewer to suffer cardiac arrest after a period of {REDACTED} hours, which will then require them to be resuscitated. upon resuscitation, the viewer will forget almost everyone they know. they will forget basic human functions apart from vocalization, and enter a vegetative state . If the viewer {now referred to as the subject} receives an Amnestic before a period of 48 hours, the subject will not experience the cardiac arrest or any symptoms. If the viewer does not receive any amnestics, enters cardiac arrest, is resuscitated and consequently enters the vegetative state than the surviving subject will demand to be left alone in a room. if this is denied, the viewer will immediately begin babbling that "it" wants to see them. they will repeat this phrase continuously, until the mental resistance of the personnel denying them solitude has deteriorated. The viewer will then be allowed to stay in a room. If left alone for longer than ██ minutes, SCP-XYXX will then enter P3, designated the "Haunting" stage. the lights in the room will completely black out, and a faint glow appears in the corners. the glowing flickers on and off for roughly 5 minutes, before the subject will enter a panicked state, where the subjects heartbeat will increase into dangerous levels. After the aforementioned 5 minutes, SCP-XYXX will appear a short distance away, usually 5 meters, but closer if the room does not permit the distance. Entity will then slowly walk forward towards the subject. The subject will then be heard screaming, though every attempt to open the door to the room will be met with failure. The subject can be heard vocalizing distressing phrases and sounds, Examples include but are not limited to:
- "No Stop!"
- "I don't want to go!"
- Several minutes of crying and whimpering
- Several sounds of slicing flesh.
After ██ minutes the screaming the subject is silenced, the door is unlocked and the lights are returned to their previous on state. in the centre of the room is a pool of blood, matching the subjects blood type. writing can often be found on the wall and ceiling. In █% of haunting cases the subject will not be attacked, but instead mauled, losing 1 or more significant appendages. in the event of surviving the "Haunting" phase, any and all vegetative and memory loss side effects will be lost, with the user retaining both previous and current memories.
