SCP-XXXX prior to relocation; note the colorless spots by the can's base.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-A's immediate container is a 5-foot cube of acrylic glass. The walls, ceiling, and floor of its outer chamber are to be similarly plated with acrylic glass at least four inches thick. Care should be taken to avoid exposure of opaque surfaces to SCP-XXXX at all times. SCP-XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX-2, and SCP-XXXX-3 pose no danger, and are stored in a locker outside of the containment chamber.

As of Test XXXX-023, wet paint is not to be handled inside SCP-XXXX's containment chamber under any circumstances, and controlled applications of wet paint to SCP-XXXX are to be carried out remotely in a blast-resistant chamber.

Description: SCP-XXXX-A is a resealable five-liter can of KILZ-brand interior primer, branded as Interior Oldtimey. A faded label on the back describes the primer as "for a Fifties finish." The can weighs 13.4 pounds at all times, regardless of the amount of primer inside of the can. When the interior of SCP-XXXX-A is unseen by any source, including video equipment, it will spontaneously refill with SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX is the primer stored within SCP-XXXX-A. It appears white to the naked eye, and physical analysis has shown that it bears identical properties to KILZ 1 Standard interior primer, including weight, viscosity, and density. Its physical sensation has been described in various ways, including "old", "dusty", and "papery."

When applied to a solid surface, SCP-XXXX instantaneously leeches all coloration from any area it covers. Objects will appear as shades of black, white, or gray, depending on the object's previous coloration. The primer itself appears to vanish immediately after it is applied, except when placed onto SCP-XXXX-1 or SCP-XXXX-2.

SCP-XXXX-1 is a Dulux-brand 63mm wall paint brush. Its handle is made of non-anomalous oak wood, and its bristles are made of horse hair. It is one of two objects capable of handling and applying SCP-XXXX like non-anomalous primer without being affected by it; when coated with the primer, it appears as a pure white color.

SCP-XXXX-2 is a Dulux-brand 11mm Nap x 270mm paint roller. Its surface is made of lamb's wool. Like SCP-XXXX-1, it is capable of holding and applying SCP-XXXX without suffering any discoloration.

SCP-XXXX-3 is a stainless-steel 25mm Dulux-brand paint scraper with a black, plastic handle. It appears to be the only object capable of reversing SCP-XXXX's effects once it has been applied to a surface.

Other than their listed effects, SCP-XXXX-1 through SCP-XXXX-3 display no anomalous properties. Cursory inspection has revealed that bristles are not resistant to damage, and great care should be taken when utilizing these objects for testing.

Addendum: Testing Log: The following list describes notable tests of SCP-XXXX on synthetic and organic surfaces. Tests on living beings must be authorized by the Site Director, and must be reversed at the conclusion of testing using SCP-XXXX-3. For a full list of tests, please contact Senior Researcher Higgs.
