"SC-P90 with a standard 50-round magazine"
Item Name: "SC-P90" (modified Belgian FN Herstel P90)
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SC-P90 is to be locked with two locks in a standard polymer gun case with minimum measurements being (interior) 72.57 cm x 44.5 cm x 26.82 cm and (exterior) 80.24 cm x 52 cm x 31.62 cm. The two locks must be have 7 pins or more each and these locks MUST be changed after EVERY TIME the case is opened by two random locks of same or better caliber and of the same type (key). Never under any circumstances disassemble SC-P90 to contain it in a smaller polymer gun case as SC-P90 will dissolve the gun case around it.1
Description: The modified FN Herstal P90, designated "SC-P90", is a standard FN Herstal P90 firearm (utilizing 5.7x28mm bullets) that had undergone transformation in SCP-914 during a containment breach when a security personnel officer had died in SCP-914 with a standard FN Herstal P90 and the SCP had been activated on the "Very Fine" setting. The result was the loss of any/all items on the security personnel and the standard P90, with a gain of the "SC-P90". The object was named after a joke that the deceased security personnel had said prior to the containment breach.
Typed Voice Transcript of Site-██ [10/23/2002, 08:42:23]
- [Security Guard Johnson] "What if I painted the logo on the side and said it was a new SCP to the recruits? 'Oh this? It's the only SC-P90 in existence and it was entrusted to me!' "
- [Security Guard Matthews] "Come on Johnson, we don't need to confuse the kids anymore than they already would be to start."
- [Security Guard Johnson] "You are such an a**hole, Mike."
- [Security Guard Matthews] "At least I'll have greenies that trust and won't mock me."
- [Security Guard Johnson] "Y'know what? I outta-"
- [Automated Voice System] "CONTAINMENT BREACH IN SUB-LEVEL 3, E WING — ALL SECURITY PERSONNEL ARE ADVISED TO PROCEED WITH STANDARD EVACUATION PROCEEDURES AND ATTEMPT RECONTAINMENT OF ANY/ALL SCP SUBJECTS"
- [Security Guard Dakota] "C'mon girls, you can complain about your nails later. We gotta get moving."
- [Security Guard Matthews] "Right behind you."
- [Security Guard Johnson] "We ain't done here, Mike. Just know that."
- [Security Guard Matthews] "Alright."
The containment breach2 resulted in five fatalities, three incapacitated personnel, six personnel in critical condition and 23 unharmed personnel. The site casualties were: 14 standard heavy containment doors were inoperable; one SCP containment room was damaged; and five hallways and two corner rooms were damaged. No SCPs on-site were destroyed.
It is assumed by blood trails and surveillance footage of Sub-Level 2 (Light Containment) that Security Guard Johnson had gone up the elevator from Sub-Level 3 to Sub-Level 2 alone3 and was bleeding from the lower right abdomen. Johnson had maneuvered the halls to find SCP-914 and (presumably) attempted to improve the quality of any/all medicine into a more effective medicine for the wound. It was shown on SCP-914 containment room's camera footage that Johnson succumbed to the injury and had perished. Johnson had activated SCP-914 on "Very Fine" pre-mortem and had fallen into the "Input" section post-mortem. The two known objects, the FN P90 submachine firearm and the corpse of security Guard Johnson, were fused into an amalgamation which adapted the traits of both. The visual design of the firearm then resembled the standard security guard uniform, a gray and black color scheme with the Foundation's logo.
Addendum: SC-P90-1 After the recontainment the SCP subject, the recovery of "SC-P90", subsequent facility maintenance and sterilization had occurred to allow for testing the amalgamation. In test chamber ██-██, the firearm was fired using 5.7x28mm cartridges (standard ammunition) in a standard FN P90 50-round magazine. The firearm functioned similar to the standard FN Herstal P90: the recoil was approximately the same; fire rate was approximately the same; trigger mechanism functioned similar; bolt functioned similar; velocity of bullet did not function similar; there was no shell ejection; the gunpowder residue in the barrel never accumulated; total ammunition in the magazine never depleted. The firearm was admitted as a unique firearm prototype with further tests of 'firearm and human amalgamations with SCP-914' to be conducted on D-class personnel currently pending approval.
