Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: : Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: The subjects are not contained for research purposes. They are guarded and monitored from afar to find out more about their behavior.
Description: The subject is a small underground village located south of Mexico. The village is about 160 meters underground and was discovered during a scouting mission in 20██, where Foundation personnel were sent to find anything anomalous near the former Tenochtitlan, The capital of the Aztec tribes during their existence. The tunnel was found by accident while the personnel were searching a site believed to be a human sacrificing altar. The tunnel was slightly longer than a kilometer and led to a small village inside a cave built out of stone, along with a population of ███ stone golems. They varied in size from 0.6m to 5m and completely ignored any wildlife. They gathered in the village center, making another golem from the stone they got from the cave. It seems that is their way of reproducing, as they have no reproductive system. After a few days of close monitoring, it seemed that the golems did not sleep, eat, or drink. The bigger golems carried stone to the center, where smaller golems would work on making the golem. The golems are most likely passive, as they do not show any kind of reaction towards wildlife. However, no animals were spotted on the golem they were making. It is speculated that they become aggressive only when their work is interrupted and/or the newest golem gets touched. The foundation is also interested about their ability to create other golems with only stone, so the village is strictly monitored instead of containing the subjects.
Addendum: The golems are extremely slow, both in walking speed and in making new golems. It is estimated that the village has existed for at least 1100 years, but due to the sluggish nature of the golems the village population count couldn't get past ███.
