SCP-4979-J is to be kept in a locked safe inside a standard storage container, at site [REDACTED]. The key and box are to be kept in Dr. [REDACTED]’s office.¹ Testing is required to be approved by at least two(2) level three(3) personnel.

Description:
SCP-4979-J is a standard white plastic bucket, 1ft x 1ft x 1ft in diameter. It has no anomalous properties until an animal or human places it on their head, with their head inside the bucket. When it is being put on the user can see the dimension,² but not participate in it. The dimension has been described as semi-modern looking with ‘apartment building’ type structures and paths similar to roads. There is barely any life in the dimension, or at least in the area that can be seen while using SCP-4979-J. Living creatures have been observed in the area, yet only one(1) has interacted with the area the bucket looks from. Most of these creatures have been described to appear similar to SCP-178 and SCP-1499’s creatures. Structures also appear similar to SCP-1499’s dimension. They all appear tall and thin, made from a black granite material.³

2. Subjects report that they could see the dimension the entire time, earliest reports of this have been five(5) seconds after being told to put it on, even while it wasn’t fully on their head.
