Description:

Part 1: SCP-5923 is the name designated to an enclosed, anomalous room located near the heart of ██████, Mississippi. SCP-5923 is about 6m2 in size and has a style comparable to that of rooms designed during the Victorian era, with walls painted green with arsenic based paint, a fire place, and a red camel back sofa situated at the center of SCP-5923. SCP-5923, while being an anomaly itself (see Part 2 for details), contains several antique amenities, some of which manifest anomalous properties of their own.

Each amenity contained within SCP-5923 that expressed anomalous or otherwise unusual attributes has been designated further as SCP-5923-A through SCP-5923-E. Their detailed descriptions have been provided below.

SCP-5923-A:

SCP-5923-A is an elliptical, bronze framed mirror that extents just over 60cm tall and 40cm wide. Any visible entity mirrored by SCP-5923-A will see a slight time displacement of approximately 0.89 seconds in their reflection relative to real time. Various test subjects who stared into the mirror for more than 40 seconds reported seeing distortions in the space-time visible around their reflection. This visual phenomenon immediately dissipates once the test subject averts their eyes away from the mirror. SCP-5923-A is not to be a considered a safety concern as no harm has resulted from visual contact with SCP-5923-A except for mild emotional distress as a consequence of its anomalous properties.

SCP5923B

SCP-5923-B:

SCP-5923-B is a potted cactus1 that stands atop a 63cm high end table adjacent to the sofa at the center of SCP-5923. SCP-5923-B has evidently grown well into its flowering stage despite completely lacking the requisite sunlight required to maintain photosynthesis. Research into this anomaly is currently taking place as of ██/██/20██ at Site-██ as part of the Project S.E.S.R.I.2 . SCP-5923-B is not to be a safety concern as no injuries of fatalities have resulted from exposure to SCP-5923-B.

SCP-5923-C:

SCP-5923-C is a 140cm by 60cm wooden bookcase containing books from the late 18th to 19th century, with an estimated 95% of the books having been part of the first 1,0003 copies produced. Some examples include The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, and Nicholas Nickleby by Charles Dickens. All 58 books stored on SCP-5923-C are in perfect condition and show no signs of degradation despite their age. Neither SCP-5923-C or its contents have any known hazardous properties that should be of concern.

SCP-5923-D:

SCP-5953-D is a
