Description: SCP-XXXX is located in Southern Oregon, in Crater Lake, Oregon. SCP-XXXX is the remanence of Mount Mazama: a crystal-clear lake-filled caldera surrounded by hills and forests. Crater Lake, Oregon is open to the public as a national park, and is a tourist destination.

SCP-XXXX holds many mysteries, being a hot spot for unsolved death, and disappearances. Most reports consist of being lost, feeling watched, and disoriented. Cases of death and disappearances mostly involve humans, but in a few rare occasions, plans have crashed or have gone missing over SCP-XXXX

The Klamath Natives once inhabited Mount Mazama before it blew, believing it to be a sacred place. The Klamath natives prayed here. They knew it as the place of Llao, the Chief of the Below world. The Klamath Natives say Mount Mazama blew when Skell, the Chief of the Above world, fought with Llao, and have since avoided SCP-XXXX, claiming it is now a portal between spirits and man. The Klamath Natives say spirits, come out in this area. They say that the spirits become hostile when they sense disrespect to their land, and will attempt to fix or get rid of it. The spirits, as the Klamath Natives say, also do their best to preserve the land. They also say that not all of the spirits are good spirits, and that there are evil spirits, mentioning some will mess with the Natives and regular people, causing them to get lost, feel disoriented, and that they will even attempt to harm or even kill. One Klamath Native said "This place is strong. It is too strong for ordinary people. I advise that only people who are mentally and physically prepared should be able to go."

D-Class personnel have written down observations of apparitions, and spirits, floating and walking throughout their 90 day period. One specific D-Class personnel reported witnessing them come out of nowhere, and even claimed to have had an interaction with one of them. The entities in SCP-XXXX are to be classified as SCP-XXXX-A. Though SCP-XXXX-A's come out yearly, historical reports show that most incidents occur during the winter months.

Addendum: There are several unsolved missing person cases, and unsolved death. Several people have also reported feeling disoriented, distracted, lost, and some have reported the sense of being watched. Several cases consist of photographers, campers, and hikers. It is suspected, but unknown, whether these cases have any relation to the spirits the Klamath Natives have mentioned or not. Some D-Class personnel have written that they speculate other forces are at work here.

One of the many major cases was of a group of 7 people found frozen outside of their tents. The bodies were immediately taken to Site-64. The bodies appeared to have no damage to their outside appearance, however, the autopsy reports showed signs of several broken and missing bones, missing organs, blood loss, and signs of impalement. Because there was no external damage, it is unknown what caused these incidents.

Two interviews were held by a level 2 personnel to gather some information from people who have reported strange experiences. Each interview was done undercover, and the interviewer undercover as amateur journalist Lydia Coolman.

A third interview was requested with a D-Class personnel by Agent Coolman, under the suggestion that interviewing a person with continuous experience with SCP-XXXX may provide more information about SCP-XXXX

Interviewed: Dave Keegan

Interviewer: Agent Coolman

Foreword: Agent Coolman is interviewing Dave Keegan, who has reported getting lost, and feeling weird things during his hike across Crater Lake, Oregon.

<Begin Log, 7/13/1991 18:52 pm>

Agent Coolman: Good evening, Mr. Keegan. How has your day been?

Dave Keegan: So far so good, I appreciate you asking. Got myself a second job at ████ ██████, and feeling mighty dandy. How about yourself?

Agent Coolman: I am doing great, thank you. Mr. Keegan, if I may ask, do you recall a time back in the summer of 1971, where you went on a hike in Crater Lake?

Dave Keegan: Oh, I remember it like it was yesterday! I was your average young adult looking for an adventure. I heard Crater Lake was a good spot for hiking. Heard it had crystalline water, gorgeous views. Boy, oh boy, she was a beaut.
Dave removes his hat and puts it on his knee, smiling as he explores his memories
Agent Coolman: Seems like you had a fun time. You mentioned that your hike got a little scary. Could you tell me what made that so?
Agent Coolam adjusts herself in her seat
Dave Keegan: Well, the day began normally. I drove myself out to Crater Lake. Wanted to see what all the fuss was about and take a good long hike. When I got there, I was under the assumption I was only going to be a few hours. But nearing the end of my hike, I got lost. I couldn't find my way back. I knew where I was, but it felt like I didn't.
Dave runs his hand through his hair and scratches his cheek, before rubbing his neck
Agent Coolman: Gosh, that sounds scary. You also said you felt something else, and that you saw something?
Dave Keegan: Oh, it felt like the devil was walking with me. Lydia, let me tell you that if you yourself were in the same shoes, you'd never forget it. It'll stick with you. Anywho, when I sat down, I got this intense feeling I was being watched. I look around to see if anyone was following, but nobody was there. I took a few minutes, drank some water, and when I turned to my left, I saw what I thought was a skull. I jumped up frightened, but went over to it. The feeling of being watched got more intense. My heart was pounding my ribs like drums. I didn't know what I was thinking, guess I wasn't, but I picked that thing up. No skeleton attached to it, no nothing. I immediately threw it down and started running, eventually I was able to find my way back after an hour's worth of running.
Dave wipes sweat from his face before flipping his hat back on
Agent Coolman: Wow, that seems like quite a day. Last question, Do you still hike at Crater Lake?
Dave Keegan: From time to time. I go with friends now. Getting lost alone with that awful feeling is not something I want to experience again. Sometimes I still get nightmares.
Dave gets up and puts out his hand to Agent Coolman
Agent Coolman: Thank you for sharing this. Those were all the questions I had. I appreciate your time, Mr. Keegan.
Agent Coolman gets up and shakes Dave Keegan's hand
Dave Keegan: My Pleasure!

Foreword: Agent Coolman interviews Amanda Walker, a woman who reports coming across a crashed plane, with the remains of its pilot and 2 passengers still inside, then claims she found the remains missing.

<Begin Log, 9/7/2006 8:37>

Agent Coolman: Good morning, Amanda. I just have a couple questions for you today. We will need to keep this interview short.

Amanda Walker: Good morning, Lydia. I'm ready to answer!

Agent Coolman: Amanda, do you recall your unfortunate hike at Crater Lake?
Amanda Walker: Oh, that was like a living nightmare. It was so real, I couldn't believe it! And that stench? That stench is never going to go away. Only God knows what made me want to open that door. Bushes and dirt covered the windows thickly, so I didn't expect much.
Agent Coolman: So you open the door, and you see these bodies. What was your reaction? Can you describe these bodies?
Amanda Walker: Are you seriously asking me what my reaction was?! I was frightened! I screamed! As for the bodies, they still had some rotting flesh, but not much, Mostly around the feet. They still had clothes, but they were severely worn out. But thought I heard voices too, and I got an overwhelming sense of sadness. I felt for these people!
Amanda pulls out a tissue to wipe away a few tears, as she is starting to tremble
Agent Coolman: Do you remember the location of this plane?

Amanda Walker: No. But I'm pretty sure the plane got removed. I haven't told anyone much about the remains. When I was there, I went back to the plane for some reason, and looked back in but…
Agent Coolman: But what?
Amanda Walker: But they were gone! Th-
Amanda begins sobbing, unable to talk
Agent Coolman: I apologize about this… but that is all I have for you today.
Agent Coolman gets up to hug Amanda
Amanda Walker: Is everything going to be ok? its like I can't get it out of my head! Every night it comes back to me!
Agent Coolman: Everything is going to be ok, I promise.
