Item #: SCP-5127

The Curiously Strong Mints

To Mr. D, it updates automatically so I couldn't save the first and second draft :'(

Object Class: Safe Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5127 is to be kept in a sealed hardened plastic case with a locked hatch for testing purposes, SCP-5127`s case is to be bolted on to a table at all times.

Description: SCP-5127 is a pack of peppermint flavored breath mints that when consumed by an organism or dropped into a body of any type of liquid will rapidly freeze and form spear-shaped ice crystals that violently shoot out of the organism or liquid that can penetrate half an inch of concrete, any living thing or liquid that touches the spears will completely freeze over starting the cycle anew. SCP-5127 has been observed to ¨crystalize¨ rain, ice, rain clouds, storm clouds, clouds, magma, itself, various types of food, almost all types of flora, almost all types of fauna, and in some rare cases air.

Upon further testing, SCP-5127 appears to have an infinite amount of mints similar to SCP-1689, although no attempts have been made to venture into SCP-5127. Testing has uncovered that the steel case SCP-5127 is made out of cannot be destroyed by the spears. Researchers have also discovered that the crystallization process happens very frequently inside SCP-5127, simply opening SCP-5127 could wipe a whole city in minutes…or worse.

Addendum: SCP-5127 was discovered by foundation personnel at █████ on 15/3/2019 at 3:27 PM after a conspiracy theorist reported it to a news publisher and was featured in ██████, the conspiracy theorist reported that after he bought a pack of mints he realized that it was shaking and passed it on like nothing, later that day the conspiracy theorist opened his pack of mints only for a spear-shaped ice crystal to shoot out and hit and stick his ceiling. Although not much information was shown a C-class amnestic was required, a backup was also needed so we got our MTF boys to deal with it.

Dr. Coomer¨Can somebody edit this file so It's up to date, we don't want somebody to read this and take the world ending mints out of its steel case and put in a plastic one.¨
