A still of SCP-XXX, taken approximately 4 hours prior to its containment.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained at Site 79 in ███████ in an airtight cell kept at 25 degrees Celsius. Armed personnel wearing Type-██ suits must monitor SCP-XXXX at all times. It is only to be fed if direct orders are given, and all personnel present at the time of feeding must be armed. It is not to be exposed to any heat source. The only sources of light it may be exposed to are Type-██ lamps.
If any testing is done on SCP-XXXX, personnel are to be prepared to execute Protocol ███. All nearby hallways must be evacuated and all cells air-locked at least 30 minutes prior to testing. If SCP-XXXX becomes violent, Protocol ███ must be executed immediately after evacuation of the cell.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a sapient being, approximately 1.78 meters tall and resembling an average Caucasian male. It is highly volatile in nature, requiring all personnel to exercise extreme caution. It is known to be extremely violent when exposed to any heat sources above approximately 35 degrees Celsius, and becomes comatose after brief exposure to temperature below roughly 10 degrees Celsius. Its violent nature when exposed to heat was discovered on ██/██/2004, when it killed 8 individuals and severely injured 5 others at a music festival in ███ ███████ after it was exposed to a burning barrel. After armed Foundation personnel used endothermic packs to tranquilize SCP-XXXX, it was discovered to weigh over 2600 kilograms, despite resembling a human of average weight. Its weight was regularly monitored after containment, and returned to roughly 80 kilograms 72 hours after its initial measurement.
Its potential to contain an abnormally high amount of mass for its size has not been explained, but it is known that it is proportional to the mass of food it eats. After extensive testing, 1 gram of any edible substance typically results in SCP-XXXX gaining 12.1 kilograms in mass. It does not have a digestive system, and the method by which it removes its food from its system is unknown.
SCP-XXXX is the only living, documented being of its kind. A being of similar qualities was found in ██████████ in 1994, which was placed under close observation by Foundation personnel. It died in its own home after an electrical fire. However, its cause of death was determined to be self-inflicted wounds on its neck.
Addendum XXXX-1: Description of Incident XXXX-1:
6 days after it was initially contained, four personnel entered SCP-XXXX's cell in an attempt to feed it and document the results. Three of the personnel were biologists, armed with Foundation-issued Glock 19 handguns. They were accompanied by one guard, armed with a Foundation-issued SCAR-L CQC. They began to feed it bread, which it ate compliantly. It began to act restlessly after roughly 4 minutes of testing. After enough heat exposure from their high-powered flashlights, SCP-XXXX attacked the four personnel. CCTV footage captured it killing two of the biologists with what was later identified as blunt force trauma. The guard fired repeatedly at SCP-XXXX. He was then killed, with the cause of death identified as blunt force trauma. One of the biologists, Dr. ████████, escaped and air-locked the cell door. However, he died three days later of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Upon later inspection after the development of the Type-██ suits and lamps, sixteen 5.56x45mm casings were found on the floor, but no bullet wounds or bullets themselves on SCP-XXXX.
