Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-XXXX current location is classified. The object is to be locked in a vitrified contaiment chamber under a multispectral camera surveilance system and ultrasonic motion detectors (MCS-UMD), tests are forbidden until re-aproval of O5 Council. It is know that SCP-XXXX will breach containment (See Addendum-3), but not when it will. If the MCS-UMD does not detect the presence of the object, procedure Eos-██ must be initiated.

Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a special microwaves containment chamber at Site-1█. When not testing, it is recomended the use of a hazmat suit when handling it (See Description).

Description: SCP-XXXX is an piece of an carved "Populus tremuloides" wood (See addendum-1), found buried in the basement of an old church located in █████, ██████. Any biological matter that comes in contact within the surface of the object, starts to emmit a thin infrared glow, there is no apparent chemical or physical interaction, the anomalous effect duration is directly proportional to the time exposed. SCP-XXXX cannot be tested more than 2 hours due to the object emition of deadly amounts of D-band microwaves (See Addendum-3), although this effect can be slowed using diferent test subjects. Subjects that came in contact with SCP-XXXX reported that their sleep schedule was pertubated, EEG analysis of the subject NREM sleep found a discrepancy in the cadence of delta waves, caused by an excessive growth of the neurotransmitter GABA in the parafacial zone of the brain(See Addendum-2). Test subjects with this diagnosis (See Addendum-3), are inclined to either die in their sleep by cause of a extreme stress resulted from the augmented SWS or developing a type of schizophrenia. Every subject who had been in any degree of contact (Measured in Addendum 2) with the object, stated that an white totem-like figure is stalking them, appearing in their dreams, in mirrors and in the corners of low-lighted rooms, possibily this collective hallucination is induced by the anomalous interaction of microwaves emmited by the SCP-XXXX with the brain of the subjects.
