containment- is minimal having a reinforced steel door and a few security cameras can stop them from escaping if one is aggravated by an attacker or any other reason aim for the eyes with a tranquilizer it will be blind but it will be knocked out
keep all dead bodies away from windows. if unavoidable to stop a dead body from being discovered please use the following guidelines
- notify higher-ups
- do not disturb
- lock doors and vents and exit
- wait 168 hours before reentry
- remove the body from containment
- put SCP back into containment
description
at a max of 1 meter, tall and comes in colors ranging from brown to yellow/red.
the creatures resembling pon-pon balls with eyes when not provoked. If provoked the SCP will begin to have its hair stick up in several sharp quills and its legs will form out of the hairy ball the legs are equipped with talons around .1-3 centimeters thick and long. the ball with grow to around the size of 1-5 meters tall and 1-5 centimeter wide depending on the age/size of the specimen the creature's eyes will become bloodshot and it will hiss towards the target. during this process, most weapons are proven ineffective of penetrating the quills only killing if it goes through the eye if the subject is caught by the creature the hidden mouth will come from the fluff and kill the target. their mode of transportation is using their hairs to excrete a sticky liquid and roll along the floor. the small hairs are mostly harmless and the liquid has no concerning elements. (Addendum the lab coat stains are impossible to get out even with fire) only hairs towards where its moving have the liquid and is quickly gotten rid of when the hair is no longer needed to move.
if a subject is dead SCP-XXXX will become distressed and sad calling out for help. if the body is removed it will aggravate SCP-XXXX causing the creature to transform into its hostile form (see above for more details) you can remove the body only after 1 week of the body being dead in witch SCP-XXXX will leave it.
social groups of these creatures usually form and the creature will be hostile if it was not born around other members. if two groups of these species were to meet they will combine even if the other one if from another place
incase SCP is enraged run or die they hunt in packs and can outrun you find a place to hide. If none are available to hide in. play dead you will at least do something as you die.
in encountered in the wild stay calm and don't aggravate it the SCP will be gentle unless harmed and, if you encounter a pack hunting suggested methods is climbing trees and hiding till they have left.
background info
these small creatures are docile upon first meeting them and were most likely part of old legends of fairies and other small creatures from legends. Some they enjoy playing games on human campers these most likely caused the old tales of pixies speaking in strange tounges and messing with locals.
the SCP's most dominant habitat is a forest in the mountains such as the Himalayas, and the Alps. their fur helps deal with the frigid cold while their brownish color helps blend in with the shrubbery.
Discovery and Tests
First contact- SCP-XXXX
this creature was spotted in mountain tops witch they hunt small rodents and reptiles when a civilian saw the creature it was by a dead horse the man trying to see if the creature was hurt disturbed the body causing SCP-XXXX to become aggressive the man was quickly killed by the SCP and its pack
Capture
upon a video being leaked of the creature from the man's camera, we quickly destroyed all evidence and said it was a hoax. after 2 months of tracking, we found a small pack of around 20 members. they were docile and were contained quickly
Test-1
we put a D-class into the holding cell for 24 hours with no response. after 30 hours we flung meat at the D-class and the creatures ate it off of him. after 2 weeks of D-Class 892-134-454 being in there, he died the creatures have begun to gather around him calling.
Test-1.5
after attempting to remove body SCP-XXXX became hostile. in response to being disturbed, they appear to become much fiercer predators and a treat to most land animals and all personnel in the > cell were killed by the SCP.```````````````````````````
Test-20
SCP-XXXX has been cooperative and shows basic levels of intelligence. this includes opening a box. > grabbing food on higher then they can reach and recognizing personnel.

upon entering aggressive actions the SCP will only go after people who did the agitation.
