SCP-4926

Item #: 4926

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4926 is currently contained in a classified area stationed in a northern part of the country Iran. It has been placed in the said place for classified reasons. Any additional information on the location of SCP-4926 cannot be currently disclosed. SCP-4926 must always be directly under a ceiling covered in one large light. In case of a power outage, an emergency power source is located near the quarters in which SCP-4926 is stationed. Any persons attempting to enter or leave must be equipped with a Glock G29, and a powerful flashlight. A minimum of three guards must be surrounding SCP-4926 at any given time, besides its rare hibernation cycle. An additional two guards must accompany anyone entering the large room in which SCP-4926 is located, underground. Anyone who happens to be caught under the influence of SCP-4926 must be immediately eliminated, as they are potentially extremely dangerous to any persons nearby, outside. Any persons who enter or leave the location must be thoroughly checked, cleaned, and clinically examined before they wish to do so.

Description: SCP-4926 is a humanoid creature who was captured on December 13, 1983, by Dr. Ethan Folk and three other trained professionals who accompanied him. The SCP was able to kill two of the professionals, and physically injure Timothy Blevins, the remaining professional, as well as ripping off the leg of Dr. Folk. Dr. Folk and Timothy were then rescued from the forest which they found inside of a large forest in Mongolia (name undisclosed).
SCP-4926 appears to have no visible hair on its body or nose. Besides these, its features are mostly human. It has a pale, almost transparent skin. The mouth is a simple, thin line from ear to ear, which opens on the rare occasion in which it captures a human body. SCP-4926 seemingly has no genital parts, which led Dr. Folk to believe that it has no gender.
This SCP's method of attack mainly focuses on shadows. Once the victim is caught within the shadow of the SCP, they are immobilized. The SCP then approaches the human and transfers what seems to be its true form, to the body. The true form is what could best be described as a blob of pale skin, with many small, finger-like limbs attached to it. These limbs are roughly the same size as a normal human's finger, but much more slender, and much longer. In the middle of the chunk of skin, is a large, moist, red eye, without any pupil or iris, and rapidly opening and closing. This, "true form" crawls out of the original host's mouth, ripping its face open. It immediately begins to crawl into the new host through their mouth.
This could be compared to the "shedding" of a snake's skin, but it may be better to compare it to a parasite choosing a new host. After invading the human's body, the host's body takes the form of the creature, roughly over the span of ten minutes. The same goes with the old host's body, returning back to its original form, now dead. Even those who take guard and have been trained to be able to cope with occurrences like this, describe it as "extremely horrific".
Because the true form of SCP-4926 must always have a host, the true form is most likely either extremely weak or cannot protect itself among humans.

Addendum: After much visual, and limited physical research, SCP-4926 has seemingly had over 20 hosts, since the earliest known sighting from April 7th, 1969. The sighting is mentioned in a letter by Noah Rubianto, a French journalist writing from his trip to Mongolia to his wife in France. The letter has been translated into English. It goes as follows:

To my dearest,
Hello. I arrived yesterday, and I hope this gets to you soon. My trip so far has gone great. The translator I'm with knows French quite well so I never have much trouble talking with the locals. I don't think that she's Mongolian, though. She doesn't look it. Just last night, I visited a hiking trail in a forest, south of the city called [REDACTED]. This was before I met with my translator, which was this morning. While I was there, I encountered a very strange man. He was very pale. I don't think he saw me, but while I was observing him, I saw that he had no hair, anywhere on his body. He was naked there, so I think he was some crazy man. I don't want you to worry though. I was with a large group of about ten tourists along with a guide and a guard, so I was in no danger. The man did not see me nor any of the others, as his back was facing us, and he was very far away.
The food here is actually much better than I thought. Because I can't bring you food, I will just bring you some souvenirs. Maybe I can bring a few toys for the kids as well. But for you, I bought a great necklace in a store that I thought you would like. But you might hate it, as I'm a man and I have no sense in what women like in jewelry. Please write back, and tell me how the kids feel. I have missed you all since the moment I stepped into the plane. I will see you very soon.
- Love,
Noah
