Special Containment Procedures: due to the nature of 4835 containment is limited to information suppression and amnesiac administration. personnel are forbidden from crossing the horizon line and entering the exclusion zone. Guards are to be posted within visual distance of one another around the perimeter at all times, anyone leaving the exclusion zone is to be detained and questioned, if their story matches the main cover story then they are to be administered class c amnesiacs and allowed to believe they have recently left a normal town. Those with different stories are to be administered class A amnesiacs and led to believe they have just spent the last semester in university drunk and/or high with nothing to show for it.
No persons are allowed within five (5) miles of the exclusion zone to prevent anyone from wandering in
To prevent further expansion, every six months willing college age students are to be allowed to enter the exclusion zone believing they are going to college.
Object Description: SCP-4835 is a pocket dimension located in [REDACTED], New York. It has a radius of approximately ██ miles and appears to the outside to be a town. Anyone entering the town believes they are in a town called [REDACTED] The town contains very little that the entrants can recall, barely being able to mention a couple of bars and a few stores with little descriptive detail. The main exceptions to this is the college located within. Entrants into the zone almost always believe they have spent time in the college within the exclusion zone and have learned material on any number of subjects, if questioned about why certain high level subjects would be taught inside of a normal university they argue that they go to a technical institute or school for arts etc. The town seems to have abnormal weather and geographical topography which entrants will comment on but never fully perceive as unusual. When tested entrants all test at the level they claim to have studied for in school. Upon an entrant exiting the exclusion zone with the belief that they have graduated they are to be given all appropriate documents. As the area the object is centered in is heavily wooded persons do not notice the town isn't there and simply assume on approach that it's hidden behind the trees.
on occasion an entrant will believe that they have spent time somewhere else, and often these places will be exotic and unearthly to the point that the entrant will believe that is normal and earth is an alien world. Entrants with these beliefs who are not given amnesiacs will often find themselves going slowly insane and getting increasingly violent.
preventing anyone from entering the exclusion zone results in it's expansion after six (6) months. previous attempts to prevent entry resulted in the deaths of ██ foundation guards. As all entrants have eventually returned people are to be allowed to continue to believe that a college exists there so willing entrants go inside for education. Failure to do so could result in a CK-class restructuring scenario as it is uncertain how far and fast the zone will expand when denied willing college students for profound lengths of time.
Addendum: Of note about the university are various supernatural elements, of particular interest is of one of the dorms which is supposedly haunted, with multiple anomalous events having taken place involving misplaced horses and student disappearances. Further research is to be undertaken by requesting entrants to investigate. Under no circumstances are foundation employees to enter the exclusion zone as none who have entered have never returned, presumed lost or KIA.
