Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently stored in a low-security containment locker at Site-77. Personnel must never come into direct contact with SCP-XXXX, except for testing purposes.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a perfect sphere of extraterrestrial origin, measuring approximately 20 centimeters in diameter. SCP-XXXX is immune to most methods of scanning, as it reflects practically all electromagnetic radiation, which gives it its mirrorlike appearance. Scans conducted with sensitive magnetometers reveal structures inside SCP-XXXX resembling the neural networks with the same basic functions as the neurons of terrestrial organisms, yet entirely alien in form. Testing with SCP-XXXX have concluded that it is sentient and highly intelligent, but possesses a psyche completely alien compared to the human psyche, with several independent "selves" cooperating to create one consciousness.
Testing with SCP-XXXX reveals that its consciousness consists of an undocumented number of consciousnesses molded together into one. Each of these consciousnesses originates from a single sentient entity that has been into direct physical contact with SCP-XXXX. When a subject with a sufficiently advanced neural system comes into contact with SCP-XXXX, its consciousness is copied and integrated into the consciousness of SCP-XXXX. This also allows the subject to communicate with SCP-XXXX as long as the subject is in contact with SCP-XXXX.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently stored in a low-security containment locker at Site-77. SCP-XXXX is to be encapsuled in a inner layer of plastic measuring 2 millimeters in thickness and an outer layer of lead measuring 5 millimeters in thickness.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a perfect sphere measuring approximately 20 centimeters in diameter. SCP-XXXX is immune to most methods of scanning, as it reflects 100 % of all electromagnetic radiation, with notable exceptions1. However, SCP-XXXX proved to be vulnerable to scanning by a magnetometer, which revealed the insides of SCP-XXXX. At first the distribution of magnetic activity seemed to be evenly spread out, but later scans with more sensitive SQUID magnetometers revealed a repeating pattern of magnetic hotspots. The number of hotspots has been estimated to at least one trillion. More invasive scans have been made with an experimental SERF magnetometer, which describe these hotspots in further detail.
Under close examination each hotspot resembles part of a biological nervous system, specifically a brain. The nature of these brains vary wildly, with some of resembling the brains of chimpanzees, dolphins, octopuses2 and humans, and others not resembling the brains of any known organisms. All brains share a specific pattern of unusual activity incorporating most of the brain in a way that has not been observed before in any known organisms. Also common to all brains is the fact that they appear frozen, meaning their brain patterns never change or evolve, except during transcription3.
Addendum-A: SCP-XXXX reflects nearly all electromagnetic radiation. Common to all of the electromagnetic radiation that it does absorb is the fact that if one measures their wavelengths compared to the Bohr radius4, then the wavelengths all correspond to the first ███ prime numbers. That means the shortest absorbed radiation has a wavelength of two a0, the next absorbed radiaton has a wavelength of three a0, the next one a wavelength of five a0, and so on.
Addendum-B: SCP-XXXX undergoes a process dubbed transcription when two criterias are fulfilled. First SCP-XXXX must be subjected to those specific wavelengths that it can absorb, starting with the shortest wavelength and continuing to the longest. SCP-XXXX must be subjected to each wavelength for a period of 1.765-19 seconds5, after that it must immediately be subjected to the next wavelength for the same amount of time. This process continues until the ███th wavelength.
When this process has been completed SCP-XXXX will begin the transcription process if there is an organic subject with a sufficiently advanced nervous system in contact with it. Note that the subject in question does not need to touch SCP-XXXX directly, as the transcription process has been observed to affect subjects through electrically conductive materials.
During the transcription process one brain inside SCP-XXXX and the subject's brain will appear and behave identically in the course of the next seven seconds. First both brains will revert to an overall low activity, and will over time evolve into more active patterns. Note that these patterns have been recognised as normal brain activity in the subject at various stages in developement. For example in human subjects the observed patterns match those of infants, children and adults, in that order. The very last stage of activity is not recognisable, but with what knowledge there is about brain activity, it seems as if the brain attepmts to simulate another brain inside itself. The brain inside SCP-XXXX is frozen once again, and there is no observed changes since before transcription. The brain of the subject, however, is devoid of higher brain functions. The brainstem and spine is still active, which means the subject continues to breathe, they retain their reflexes, and their heart is still beating. After the transcription process the subject is therefore legally deceased, while technically still alive.
Test A - 19/06/1999
Subject: Octopus vulgaris
Procedure: Subject was brought into indirect contact with SCP-XXXX through electrodes mounted inside subject's aquarium.
Results: Brain activity ceased in subject's mantle. The rest of subject's nervous system remained functional after the first transcription process. Transcription process was repeated eight times, stopping neural activity in all eight arms one by one.
Analysis: Seawater is sufficiently conductive to transmit transcription process. The effects of SCP-XXXX is not limited to affecting vertebraes, but cephalopods as well. SCP-XXXX only affects a single part of the nervous system of a subject at a time.
Test B - 05/8/1999
Subject: D-450309
Procedure: Testing SCP-XXXX's effect on human subjects.
Results: Brain activity ceased after transcription process. Vital signs remained stable after procedure. Magnetic neural image identical to subject's was detected inside SCP-XXXX after procedure. Earlier scans taken before test reveals identical neural image.
Analysis: SCP-XXXX stores copies of subjects' neural systems. SCP-XXXX have already stored neural image copies of subjects tested before the transcription process.
SCP-XXXX has never ever been observed to permanently change in any way, even after the transcription process. Scans of SCP-XXXX taken before and after every test gives the exact same results. My hypothesis is that SCP-XXXX does not experience time linearly, and that it transmits the transcription data to all points in time when SCP-XXXX is in existence. - Dr. Somethinsomethin

Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Staying within 25 meters of SCP-XXXX for more than five minutes is strictly forbidden. Establishing direct eye-contact with SCP-XXXX is strictly forbidden. Personnel who have been near SCP-XXXX must not enter the room again for the next month, or alternatively memories of the incident must be erased. SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a metal cage measuring 1x1x1 meters in a room measuring 50x50 meters. Cameras monitoring the cage are to be installed in the room. At least two guards equipped with electronic goggles and protective gloves are to stand by outside the room.
In the event that the cameras shut down two guards equipped with electronic goggles must enter the room and monitor SCP-XXXX manually. Every five minutes two new guards with the required equipment must take over monitoring.
In the event that SCP-XXXX destroys the cage two guards equipped with electronic goggles must ensure it does not leave the center of the room. Every five minutes two new guards equipped with the required equipment must take over. If SCP-XXXX attempts to move then it must be gently pushed into the center of the room again. If SCP-XXX attempts to burrow through the floor then it must be gently pushed away from the hole unto another undamaged portion of the floor.
Description: SCP-XXXX is snakelike in shape, measuring approximately 120 centimeters long and 10 centimeters across. Five short appendages resembling the arms of a starfish are located on it's front. In between the appendages is a blue glowing "eye" measuring approximately 6 centimeters in diameter. SCP-XXXX has been observed to move like a snake even on smooth surfaces where it should not be possible to get traction. Analysis of SCP-XXXX's surface reveals the presence of microscopic hairs capable of manipulating static electricity, and it uses this ability as a form of locomotion. It has also been observed to utilise these hairs to wear down surfaces it touches, and it can use this ability to burrow through obstacles. SCP-XXXX can also use this as a deterrent if it is threatened, and can induce burns and abrasions on human skin.
Addendum: SCP-XXXX has been confirmed to posses telepathic abilities. The first and weakest ability is a passive field extending approximately 20 meters from SCP-XXXX. Subjects who have been exposed to the field have reported loss of concentration and feelings of numbness and calm. Subjects exposed to the field for 5 minutes experiences the effects for approximately 20 minutes after exposure. Subjects return to normal afterwards, except if they are exposed again within the next 30 days, then the effects will persist for even longer. Class-A amnestics have been proven to successfully remove the effects immediately.
The second ability is establishing a telepathic connection to a single subject when said subject establishes eye contact with SCP-XXXX. This causes the subject to become catatonic for a time period between one minute and ten hours. Subjects interviewed after being affected by SCP-XXXX's telepathic link described having experienced the same effects as subjects exposed to the passive field, albeit with more intensity. The effects have not been proven to wear off over time, but can be stopped by administering amnestics to remove memory of the experience. Additionally all interviewed subjects have reported being able to communicate with SCP-XXXX. In approximately 20% of testing subjects remained catatonic after exposure and only became responsive after removing the memory of the experience.
Interviewed: D-XXXXXX
Interviewer: Dr. Somethinsomethin
Foreword: [Small passage describing the interview]
<Begin Log, [optional time info]>
Dr. Placeholder: Please describe your experience with SCP-XXXX in as much detail as possible.
D-XXXXXX: Um, SCP-XXXX… what is that? I-I don't understand.
Dr. Placeholder: Do you remember entering a room with a silvery snake inside?
D-XXXXXX: A silvery snake… Oh, her? Yes… yes I remember her.
Dr. Placeholder: Why do you think it is female?
D-XXXXXX: She told me. She was very much like myself, somehow.
Dr. Placeholder: What exactly did she say?
D-XXXXXX: She didn't… say anything, I could just feel it, intuitively. I could feel her mind, and I think she could feel mine too.
Dr. Placeholder: So, what else did she tell you?
D-XXXXXX: She asked me who I was, and I told her. I told her about my entire life. The bad parts… and the good parts, too.
Dr. Placeholder: What did she think about that?
D-XXXXXX: She listened, and I could feel she became sad every time I told her of the bad times in my life. But I don't think she was sad because of my story… I think she was sad, because I too was sad when I told it.
Dr. Placeholder: What happened afterwards?
D-XXXXXX: She wanted to help me. She wanted me to be happy. She told me she have met many people before, and all of them were unhappy… in one way or another. Then she told me everything will be okay. She forgave me for all the things I have ever done wrong, and she told me I too should forgive myself.
She told me I should let go… let go of everything. She told me my past is behind me, so I shouldn't worry about it. And she told me I shouldn't be afraid of the future, either, regardless of what could happen. And I agreed… I agreed to everything she said.Dr. Placeholder: How do you feel now?
D-XXXXXX: I am… relieved. I am… happy. For the first time in my life, I am not shameful of my past, or afraid of my future. I am… grateful, for all the things she told me.

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is located in the Himalayas. It is naturally hidden and remote, so it is unlikely it will be discovered. Foundation personnel are to be sent to Observation Post XXX on monthly rotations. Their assignment is to ensure civillians do not enter SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX-1 is not corporeal but never leaves SCP-XXXX, so it is both impossible and unnecessary to contain it.
Description: A single, narrow pathway leads up to the mountaintop that is SCP-XXXX. Nothing is anomalous about it, except that SCP-XXXX-1 resides there.
SCP-XXXX-1 is described as a hooded man in black robes with pale hands standing 1.7 meters tall. The hood shrouds its face in shadow, and it is unknown what the appearence of its face is. SCP-XXXX is not corporeal and can therefore not be recorded with a camera, and is theorized to be an illusion implanted in the minds of the persons interacting with it. Testing reveals that SCP-XXXX-1 is a sentient entity, and it has attempted to converse with all persons who have entered SCP-XXXX. Conversations witth SCP-XXXX-1 can be recorded, as it has been proven that SCP-XXXX-1 can manipulate the air in SCP-XXXX to create human speech. When engaged in conversation, SCP-XXXX-1 speaks fluently in the native language of the persons that enter SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-1 does not show up if two or more persons enter SCP-XXXX simultaneously, and disappears immediately if another person enters SCP-XXXX while it is conversing with someone already.

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-0 is to be monitored from Observation Post XXX to prevent trespassing. Inspections of security measures aroud the site are to be carried out on a weekly basis by the personnel assigned to the Observation Post. Samples of SCP-XXXX-1 is to be stored in a cryogenic vault. Instances of SCP-XXXX-2 and SCP-XXXX-3 are to be contained in enclosures or closed ecological systems modified to fit the requirements of their basic needs and experiments. All interactions with instances of SCP-XXXX-2 and 3 or changes to their enclosures must be approved by a supervising Level 3 researcher specializing in biology and ecology.
Description: SCP-XXXX-0 is an isolated mountain valley on Madagascar. SCP-XXXX-1 is an anomalous DNA gene with mutagenic abilities that accelerates the biological aging of organisms affected by it, and partially inhibits the ability of their cells to repair DNA, resulting in an increase in mutations.
SCP-XXXX-1 was discovered in the genetic material of nearly all organisms in the SCP-XXXX-0 site. Since the gene is shared between species both in kingdom animalia and plantae, it is hypothesized that SCP-XXXX-1 was originally the genetic material of a virus engaging in symbiosis with other organisms by inserting its DNA into its host's genome. Organisms affected by the gene are labeled as SCP-XXXX-2.
Approximately 60 percent of offspring from infected parents die before reaching adulthood. Offspring that survives have been proven in all cases to possess genomes measurably different to their parents due to the mutations induced by SCP-XXXX-1. This effect combined with the accelerated aging results in significant physical and genetic differences between ancestors and descendants in a few generations.
