Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently stored at Site 32, research cell 141. All researchers conducting experiments on SCP-XXXX must be accompanied by at least one guard if any values are entered above 0.█00 or below -0.█00. Any test subjects influenced by SCP-XXXX that attack any foundation personnel must be ██████████ immediately. Special permission from Site 32 control must be obtained before SCP-XXXX is tested. All testing must be remotely monitored by at least one security officer.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an approximately 20x5x3cm, black in color device that displays four (4) digit values on both its front and back facing side, similar in appearance to a digital clock. These values are from an interval observed to be as high as 0.999 and as low as -0.999. Any subject to come in direct contact with the front display causes the value to change within said interval. MRI scans of test subjects indicated that the values outputted correlate to the dopamine levels of the subject. Average value recorded of all 58 tests was 0.078.
The back side of SCP-XXXX displays any value verbally spoken within a 30cm radius, as long as said value is less than one (1) and greater than negative one (-1). Any subject to come in direct contact with this display causes a mood swing in the subject, correlating with the value displayed. Lower values trigger dread, anxiety, or anger in the subject, of which is more severe the closer the value is to its minimum. Higher values trigger excitement, joy, or sexual arousal in the subject, of which is more severe the closer the value is to its maximum. MRI scans of test subjects indicate that this side of the device drastically reduces or increases dopamine content, sometimes to lethal levels.
SCP-XXXX was found on ██/██/1982, within the Aztec Ruins of ████████. It was located underneath 138kg of debris, unscathed. The top side of SCP-XXXX is inscribed with Aztec hieroglyphs scratched into the surface. Researcher Hailey ██████ determined that the hieroglyphs roughly translate to “gift of the ████”, during the expedition.
