Item #: SCP 4001
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP 4001 is to be contained inside a sealed chamber within Site-82. Site staff is to take note of every twenty third hour and preform a security check with no less then four security personnel with a complement of at minimum two D-Class personnel. Security personnel are to be armed with non lethal equipment and be aware of operating procedure 4001.12.4. In the event of containment breach, all personnel in the security chamber will be locked down inside until site staff deem it fit to release the seals of the chamber. Operating procedure for the release of the chamber seals can be found in 4001.11.3. All 4001-1 entities shall be secured into a separate cell block until a psychiatric evaluation can be conducted. If 4001-1 is declared fit and capable of communication, an interview shall be logged and 4001-1 is to be memory wiped and put back into subject circulation.
Description: SCP 4001 is a 1974 Volvo 240 station wagon measuring 4844mm in length, 1720mm in width, and 1450mm in height. SCP 4001 is in remarkable condition, no visible flaws or wear and tear can be found, and all parts appear to be of original factory make. Time and space are confirmed to be altered as a marlboro cigarette has been burning in the front ashtray indefinitely since recorded observations and data started as of 08/12/████. SCP 4001 starts and drives normally, can move with little to no risk, and never seems to drop below a full tank of gas regardless of run time and load on the engine.
Personnel are safe to enter any of the normal passenger doors without danger to life or limb. However, staff have made note that matter will not decay or age in any observable, or measurable way while housed inside. See [REDACTED] for additional information.
The rear hatch of SCP 4001 creates a one way portal to [REDACTED] every twenty three hours and 42 seconds. The closest humanoid entity immediately experiences a force similar to the force of gravity (9.82m/s) in direct trajectory towards the rear hatch of SCP 4001. If the path of the humanoid is obstructed, subject will continue to travel regardless through the shortest possible path. This can cause considerable damage to the subject and the obstruction. This anomaly will not cease until all matter has reached the portal. Once all of the subject (in one or multiple pieces) passes through the portal, the previous subject from the last anomaly will appear in the rear left seat of SCP 4001.
Returning subjects are given a designation of SCP 4001-1 as of 04/23/████.
These subjects always materialize alive regardless of the condition that they entered the portal and without clothing or any non organic material that entered with them. Subjects are often covered in blood, bruises, lacerations, bites and broken bones. Occasionally, subjects will return unharmed. All wounds that are observed are consistent with a physical altercation with another unarmed human. Defensive wounds have been found on almost all subjects. (see 4001-1.3.4 for further information.)
Of the returning subjects, 87% fail their psychiatric evaluation and are immediately wiped. The remaining subjects are interviewed, logged, and wiped. (see 4001-1.3.5)
Note: The following interviews are from former D-Class subjects. Considering that no equipment may enter the portal created by SCP 4001, all information that follows cannot be confirmed or disproved.

Interviewer: Dr. Thorn
Subject: SCP 4001-1-7792 (Former designation D-876154)
[Dr. Thorn] Describe for me, where you found yourself after passing into the car.
[7792] Its a room <7792 is seen looking around the interrogation room in discomfort>
Room was bigger then this, not a lot, but bigger.
[Dr. Thorn] Was that it? You sat in a room for 23 hours.
<7792 immediately becomes violent and fights against his restraints>
[7792] Fuck You 23 hours! I was in that room with him for [REDACTED]
Just him, me, and that stupid coin!
[Dr. Thorn] I need you to calm down 7792. Think, focus, Who was with you? Was he the one who hurt you?
<7792 slumps back into his chair>
[7792] Yes, I was the one who hurt him <7792 pauses> and he was the one who hurt me.
[Dr. Thorn] 7792, you need to be more clear, who was with you?
[7792] It was me.
[Dr. Thorn] What do you mean?
[7792] Me, I, [REDACTED], D-876154, or fucking 7792 as your calling me now. He was the same person that i am! Every little detail, every little mark and scar on my body. Every memory that I have he had as well. The same thoughts, the same desires.
<7792 begins sobbing softly between his sentences> It was like living with a mirror that you couldn't break. At first we could get along, but after [REDACTED] we just couldn't handle being in that same fucking room anymore! It had to end, it always has to end.
[Dr. Thorn] What happened to the other man that was with you?
[7792] We flipped the coin, <7792 raises his hands to his neck> and I lost the flip.
<End of recording>
Note from Dr. Thorn: 7792 gives a account consistent of previous subjects, recommend that 7792 receives memory wipe and recirculated back into testing.
Record 4001-1.3.4: Dr. Merryweather(Site-82 acting medical supervisor) report 12/06/████
Of all the subjects examined, less then one percent show no signs of physical harm.
Correlation of severity of injury and criminal activity has been shown, with more violent D-Class personnel experiencing greater trauma compared to non-violent offenders.
D-Class personnel that are recirculated into research show almost identical trauma from previous exposure to SCP 4001.
Site-82 psychiatrist Dr. Strenk has informed this department that D-Class personnel that exhibit psychopathic tendencies correlate to minimal to non existent physical harm to SCP 4001 exposure. Further research is required.
Procedure 4001-1.3.5: D-Class personnel that show the ability to pass a psychiatric evaluation are given high priority for re-circulation into research and SCP 4001 exposure.
D-Class personnel that fail two tests in sequence are to be recycled into other Site-82 projects. Memory is to be wiped between each exposure in order to produce controlled research results during this stage of observation.
Procedure 4001.12.4: Security detail are to place one D-Class personnel within 3 meters of SCP 4001 and the second D-Class personnel outside of 6 meters of SCP 4001. All members of security detail are to keep at minimum 10 meters from SCP 4001. Once SCP 4001 portal anomaly has ended, security detail will secure any SCP 4001-1 personnel and any remaining D-Class personnel. In the event that SCP 4001 anomaly ends with a member of security being subjected, the most senior member is to report the incident to the first available supervisor after securing all D-Class and SCP 4001-1 personnel.
Procedure 4001.11.3: In the event of a continuous SCP 4001 anomaly event, Site personnel will seal the chamber until replacement subjects can be procured and put into position. Site personnel will use the chamber airlock to introduce replacement D-Class subjects until the anomaly event has ended. If anomaly does not end with the introduction of further subjects, site personnel are to immediately contact Site-82 supervisor [REDACTED] for further instructions.
