Description:

SCP 4143 is a war banner, in the style of a feudal Japanese clan, however no clan with a matching insignia has been discovered. SCP 4143 was first discovered by archeologists, in rural Japan, on an ancient battlefield. The object’s anomalous properties first manifested, when the archeologists were attacked by a swarm of Asian Giant Hornets, while working. The archeologists began using their tools as improvised weaponry, and the hornets fled, soon thereafter.

SCP 4143 has the primary anomalous effect of bolstering the combat prowess and courage of those in possession of the artifact. This has been shown to make pacifists capable of dealing great damage if threatened. This has not been shown to work on D class personnel, it is theorized that this is due to them not being counted as members of the same group as site staff, by SCP 4143.

SCP 4143 has the secondary anomalous property of instilling fear and insecurity in those attacking anyone in possession of SCP 4143. This has even been shown to work on anomalous individuals, albeit to a lesser extent, hence its application in minimizing the effects of containment breeches.
