Item #: SCP-5855
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5855 is to be maintained in a sealed cold storage room at Site-21. The room is never to reach above zero degrees Celsius. Any deviation in room temperature that would put SCP-5855 above the freezing threshold must be immediately rectified. SCP-5855 itself must be contained within a reinforced metallic box made of steel and iron roughly twenty feet by fifteen, that can only be opened remotely following a biometric scan of both the site's administrator, and a present member of the O5-Council.
SCP-5855-A1 SCP-5855-# and any anomaly with such a designation must be contained at the discretion of the site administrator. If the site administrator is unable to provide adequate containment in a timely manner, MTF Lambda-5 ("White Rabbits") will be put in direct control of the situation until either the site administrator can fulfill their duties - or a new administrator is put into place.
Specifically, SCP-5855-15 is to be kept in a small, sealed dormitory in Site-21. The only people she is to interact with are approved foundation staff. All staff are to be personally approved by the acting Administrator. No less than six Scranton Reality Anchors are to be kept operational in proximity to the dorm room at all times.
Description: SCP-5855 is a group of surgical machines surrounding an operating table. Recovered from a facility in Magnitnaya, Russia. The machines themselves vary in function, but all are designed to work in tandem while a patient is strapped down. The operating table itself is old, dating back to the early 1940s, while the various surgical machines were developed sometime between 1950 and 1965. When left unattended, the machines are known to start and stop themselves automatically upon the placing of a live humanoid upon the table. Several researchers have also reported the machines starting completely unprompted, regardless of whether they were powered or not, and as such the devices are kept below freezing as to render them inoperable.
SCP-5855-# refers to those who have undergone surgery via the machines. Note that this designation is only to be used for those who survive the incident. At present, only six subjects (SCP-5855-13 through SCP-5855-18) are within the Foundation's care that meet this designation. Their description are as follows:
| Designation | Description | Status | Name |
| SCP-5855-13 | Eastern European, male, early teens | In Cryostasis | 'Viktor' |
| SCP-5855-14 | East Asian, female, young adult | In Cryostasis | 'Mei' |
| SCP-5855-15 | Eastern European, female, young adult | Under Observation | 'Tatiana' |
| SCP-5855-16 | Eastern European, male, early twenties | In Cryostasis | 'Pavel' |
| SCP-5855-17 | Central Asian, male, pre-teen | In Cryostasis | 'Adham' |
| SCP-5855-18 | Central European, male, pre-teen | In Cryostasis | 'Reiher' |
When interviewed, all SCP-5855-# hold almost no recollection of their lives before their encounters with SCP-5855. Whether or not this is due to the SCP itself, or extraneous circumstances surrounding their encounter is unknown. As of 12/26/21, a request has been filed with the O5-Council by Senior Researcher K. Malak, seeking permission to remove SCP-5855 from cold storage so as to test its functionality. As of 06/19/23 the request was rescinded by Dr. K. Malak himself - as such the following description is using information extrapolated from documents recovered following it's retrieval.
Addendum: At the request of Senior Researcher Dr. K. Malak, relevant documents and files are to be displayed here. Please ensure you hold the proper clearance before proceeding.
