SCP- 4962 as it was discovered.

Item #: SCP- 4962

Object class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP- 4962 is to be kept in a standard passcode safe at site-53. At least two personell must moniter SCP- 4962's containment area at all times. Weekly checks are mandatory for any drastic changes in SCP- 4962's behavior. Should SCP- 4962 be removed from its cell without approval for testing, Foundation personell will be informed, the perpetrator detained, and the item recovered.

Description: SCP- 4962 was discovered on June 12, 2013 in a filing cabinet at site-60. Origin is not yet known. SCP- 4962 appears to be a paper folder with "SCP" printed on the front cover in black ink.

Opening the folder results in a page resembling an SCP document, including containment procedures, object class, description, and in some cases, images, to be generated. Closing SCP- 4962 and reopening it causes a new SCP-like document to materialize.

However, none of the "SCP's" that SCP- 4962 describes actually exist. Rarely do these documents have an item number, instead possessing symbols, most commonly, "XXXX", "####", and in some instances, no number.

What these symbols indicate is completely unclear and requires further research. Site- 53 directors have approved future testing of SCP- 4962. [END REPORT]

Test A - June 14, 2013

Subject: SCP- 4962
Purpose: Determine the anomalous properties, if any, of SCP- 4962.
Procedure: Dr. Lenner discovers a document similar to an SCP report inside SCP- 4962. Writes a brief summary of said document. SCP- 4962 is placed in the provided passcode safe.
Results: SCP- 4962 Does not exhibit any anomalous properties as of yet. Further testing will continue on June 15, 2013.
Analysis: SCP- 4962 produced a document describing, "SCP- XXXX", supposedly a Keter humanoid capable that couldn't be contained. Document exhibited spelling errors, innacurate reference to SCP- 096, and, according was very rushed in nature.

Test B - June 15, 2013

Subject: SCP- 4962
Purpose: Determine the anomalous properties, if any, of SCP- 4962.
Procedure: Dr. Lofiel retrieves SCP- 4962 from its safe. A new document has replaced the original and is recorded. Item is locked in its safe.
Results: SCP- 4962 exhibits anomalous properties and will be kept at site- 53.
Analysis: SCP- 4962 apparently generated a new SCP- like document while it was closed. The document describes, "SCP- ####", a euclid DVD that kills anyone who views its contents. It is similar to the original document as it has several notable spelling errors, but differs in that it has an image of said DVD. The document from Test- A has been somehow deleted. Further tests have been approved to detect other possible anomalous effects.
