Special Containment Procedures: SCP-#### is to be contained in an enclosed containment zone that encapsulates the approximately 20 kilometer area that SCP-#### exists. Once a month, the perimeter of the containment zone must be burned to prevent spreading of SCP-####. Access to the inside of the perimeter is restricted to groups of 3 or more. All personnel are to wear protective chemical suits made of PVC while inside the containment area of SCP-####.
Once a week during the months of March, April, and May, 4 groups of D-Class personnel are to be designated to prevent germination of new SCP-####-A entities through means of trimming SCP-####-A entities, or through controlled and monitored burning of all brush present on ground within the containment zone. During these same months, Mobile Task Force Theta-4 ("Gardeners") is to be on standby in the event that SCP-#### is determined to have spread outside the boundaries of its containment area and into nearby populated areas.
No personnel with a traumatic history relating to death of somebody close to them is to enter SCP-####'s containment area. It is preferred that all personnel that enter the containment area have not experienced death of a loved one for at least 5 years prior.
Description: SCP-#### is a group of entities that individually appear physically identical to a Bald Cypress tree, each of which is an instance of SCP-####-A. The anomalous properties of SCP-#### require each entity to be located within a group of other SCP-####-A entities, individually the entities show no anomalous properties, but are still capable of spreading through asexual reproduction.
SCP-####-B is a corpse of the last subject to be successfully captured by SCP-####, and will be manipulated by the SCP-####-A entity through the use of vines originating from the entity. These SCP-####-B entities are fully controlled by the SCP-####-A entities and show no signs of anomalous properties on their own. When being controlled, SCP-####-B entities gain anomalous properties that are not present in either SCP-####-A or SCP-####-B individually.
When a subject enters the range of an SCP-#### entity, the SCP will begin to target the subject. If the subject is alone, or with one other person in rare cases, the SCP may utilize an instance of SCP-####-B as a lure for the targeted subject.
In the event that the target has experienced mental trauma through the loss of a loved one, the subject that is targeted will see the SCP-####-B entity as the individual that they lost. The SCP-####-A entities will release pheromones that affect only humans, and are exceptionally strong on those that have mental trauma in general. These pheromones will decrease one's ability for decision making and increase desire to be with someone that the person has a close connection with. During this luring process, the SCP-####-B entity will be moved between SCP-####-A entities in order to fully lure the targeted subject without allowing the target to near the SCP-####-B entity.
At the point that any human subject stands underneath an SCP-####-A entity, the subject will then be captured. This process is done through means of lynching the subject using the vines that typically manifest when controlling an SCP-####-B instance. These victims are brought up into the SCP-####-A entities and become a new instance of SCP-####-B. The victim is partially digested within the trunk of the SCP-####-A entity responsible using a unique acid similar to gastric acid, but with high concentrations of hydrochloric acid, but lacking any digestive enzymes. It is assumed this process is used to "shape" the victim to help with the luring process.
