SCP-5137 during the day.
Item #: SCP-5137
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5137 is held safely off the ground in any cell using it's specifically made metal pronged bar. It must not be touched without proper permission from lab personnel. Any time between 2100 to 0600 hours, it must have it's chamber shut. Any hours after 0600 to 2100 the chamber must be kept open. Lift the rifle and slide it on to the cylindrical bar so that the bar does not touch the rifle and enters SCP-5137-C. Turn it sideways and have the prongs inside SCP-5137 hold it off the ground.
Description: SCP-5137 visibly resembles an M1 Garand military rifle, and was discovered on [DATA EXPUNGED]. It was recovered by military personnel and was brought to the S.C.P foundation that same year. It is seen to have strange properties when it fires, but it's projectiles are regular rounds traditionally used in M1 Garand rifles, .30-06 Springfield. When touched it will automatically begin to fire, but only when in full contact with living organisms. Therefore it is handled with gloves at all times. If it touches any type of floor or flat surface it will also fire.
SCP-5137 was first discovered when German forces attacked U.S. military with the weapon, and has not been fired since unless given authorization in experiments. It fires at a rising speed, it's fire rate starts at 3,400 Rounds per minute, and in the course of 37 seconds it caps out at nearly 6,000 Rounds per Minute. SCP-5137 seems in perfect condition and is completely indestructible. It's chamber is kept open due to a loud pinging noise, similar to that of an actual M1 Garand Rifle during the day. It is however, much louder, and causes a disturbance if closed during the day. The sound cannot be soundproofed in the room, as it simply travels right through any soundproofing.
Inside the chamber of SCP-5137 is SCP-5137-C, which appears to be a large laboratory, (see "Addendum"). During the night, if the chamber is left open, it ejects singular vials labeled "Pervitin", this is SCP-5137-P. This substance has a chemical compound of C10H15N, similar to that of Methamphetamine, a commonly used drug. These vials eject every second during the night, unless the chamber is closed. They have regular effects of the drug, the only side effect is that it creates more of SCP-5137-P, which appears at the test subject's feet.
Addendum: There have been a few attempts to document SCP-5137-C, since the gun is indestructible and the chamber is much too small to put a test subject inside, so one cannot enter it practically. Through some tests, all SCP's that go near SCP-5137 have simply not been able to enter it, regardless of size. This is because the chamber closes and cannot be pried open until the subject leaves the room.
In a recent test a small camera was lowered on a string in attempt to document the weapon's inside. SCP-5137-C appears to be a large lab room, and it is approximately 30 ft3. It seems to be paused in time, as a small glass of water spills on the desk, but the water that seems to be falling out of the glass does not move. The rest of the room has terminals and windows. Although, the doors and windows are all boarded up. the inside seems to be indestructible as well. This has led to little being found out.
Using a remote controlled device, further research also concludes almost all objects in the room cannot be moved. the only thing in the room that seems to move is a set of drawers located by a desk. When opened, an endless stream of SCP-5137-P floods out of it's drawers. Not much else can be found out about SCP-5137 through practical research, although further tests are scheduled.
