Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid1
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be given a room in the staff dorms of Site ??. SCP-XXXX will be free to move about all Site ?? facilities for which SCP-XXXX has security clearance. SCP-XXXX will live and work at Site ?? with the sole exception of one week’s vacation per year, and weekly trips for the necessary sundries of campus life. During these excursions SCP-XXXX will consent to being monitored via GPS tracking2. SCP-XXXX is also willing to undergo quartly loyalty evaluations to ensure no outside force has suborned the object’s judgement. In the event that there are no apparent issues with SCP-XXXX’s evaluations their frequency is to be reduced to biannually and then annually.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a twenty-nine year old caucasian female with dyed red hair3, and twin scars above and beneath her right eye consistent with a single slash. This scar is the result of an old injury for more information see experiment log ??.
All stuffed toys crafted to resemble creatures in the Ursidae family within a one-hundred meter radius of SCP-XXXX become instances of SCP-XXXX A. Instances of SCP-XXXX A are not animate, they cannot move on their own, but they are able to perceive their immediate location and report on anything they experience via this perception to SCP-XXXX in the form of telepathic “whispers”. Once an instance of SCP-XXXX A is brought into radius and becomes active it will be aware of SCP-XXXX’s presence and will usually indicate so via a “whisper” of greeting. While SCP-XXXX can hear the whispers of all instances of SCP-XXXX A within her range regardless of her position, she does not possess the ability to respond via the same link. Therefore to speak to an instance of SCP-XXXX A, SCP-XXXX must be within reasonable speaking distance.
It is speculated that with the right practice SCP-XXXX could use instances of SCP-XXXX A as a means of clairvoyance more directly, but repeated attempts have given no conclusive results. Experimentation will continue4.
Addendum - Discovery: SCP-XXXX came into Foundation custody in 1994. SCP-XXXX’s abilities exacerbated the problems present in the object's home. The Foundation became aware of SCP-XXXX via a Child Protective Services worker involved in the case. The worker was placed in contact with Field Agent Beacon who brought SCP-XXXX into containment. SCP-XXXX has remained in Foundation custody ever since.
Addendum - Reviewer 1’s Notes: SCP-XXXX grew up in the Foundation. She has dedicated almost half her life to studying and training with a singular purpose: to join the Foundation as staff. She can and will meet any test placed to her in order to reach that goal. It wasn’t really a surprise that the first official duty she was assigned was reviewing her own entry. Still, I can’t say I haven’t had fun. -Dr. Beacon
Addendum - Reviewer 2’s Notes: I’ve decided to take a minimal hand in this process to make a point. Both Dr. Beacon and her direct Supervisor at Site ?? have been highly unprofessional about this process. Dr. [][][][][][] should have been familiar enough with Dr. Beacon’s history that this sophomoric test wouldn’t be necessary. There were more appropriate assignments that Dr. Beacon could have been given for the purpose of assuring her objectivity.
Despite this, Dr. Beacon should have taken this process a bit more seriously. This is why I’ve left certain of her footnotes and the above Addendum in this submission. Let it stand as a statement both for and against her. She is capable of viewing a situation objectively. She chose to break her objectivity with her notes, and regardless of her reasons she should have practiced more prudence. -Dr. Stone
