Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-4852 is to be contained in a 3mx3mx3m 4” thick Concrete-walled room, a 12 watt LED must be lit at all times above SCP-4852 to ensure proper Safety. PErsonnel must have a clearance level of 2 or higher. The cell of SCP-4852 must be cleaned at least once weekly, or immediately after a test. Any leftover food particles or liquid produced by SCP-4852 must be swept, mopped then sent to be incinerated. Janitorial staff must be accompanied by a facility guard at all times when inside the holding cell. Unless testing, any personnel committing unauthorized consumption of food or drink produced by SCP-4852 Is to be terminated or sent for detoxification.
Description:
SCP-4852 is an early-twentieth century Ice-box measured at 41” wide x 56” Tall, with a depth of 24”, The shelves inside SCP-4852 are measured to be 15”x15”. SCP-4852’s exterior is mostly made up of Walnut wood, with brass handles. The insulated inside of SCP-4852 is lined with a thin layer of Tin.
SCP-4852 when opened has a unique arrangement of different types of food and beverages, closing and re-opening the door of SCP-4852 results in a completely new assortment of produce.After Eating any food or drink produced by SCP-4852 the subject is exposed to an intense euphoric “high”, Subjects report comparing the feeling given similar to the widely used opioid Heroin, along with an increased level of self confidence for a duration of about 2 hours. Withdrawals after multiple encounters with SCP-4852 manifest, Eating 3 or more Food or beverages produced by SCP-4852 these symptoms might occur, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Vertigo, and insomnia. Consuming more than 5 or more food items will result in Gastrointestinal Hemorrhaging, Urinary Tract Infection, Hair loss, enophthalmos, Seizures, cold sweats, Diaphoresis, and random appearances of necrosis around the body. Subjects are usually dead 3 hours after the first appearance of symptoms listed above. Medical Aid has been observed to be useless against the effects of SCP-4852 after multiple tries. After multiple tests it’s been found that different food groups from SCP-4852 (Meat/Dairy) have exclusive unique effects on the subjects. High protein Food items such as Beef have been seen to increase muscle mass, and physical strength by 34% within 2 hours of ingestion, time differs per subject. Dairy products have been observed to increase bone density by over 32% in the first 10 minutes of ingestion. Every food item removed from SCP-4852 is to receive it’s own SCP Classification in chronological order of which it was removed from SCP-4852.
