File-EpsilonSyndrome-2: The Art Showcase

Item #: SCP-EPSYN-ART

Containment Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedure: SCP-EPSYN-ART is currently uncontainable.

Description: SCP-EPSYN-ART relates to a phenomenon that causes the manifestation of artwork (designated as SCP-EPSYN-ART-1 instances) on social media and art-sharing sites (ex. twitter, tumblr, instagram, and Deviantart. All SCP-EPSYN-ART-1 instances are signed by an artist known only as "Rex Epsilon" (a presumed pseudonym), depicting SCPs and events related to the Foundation (though some of the SCPs and events have proven to be nonexistent).

SCP-EPSYN-ART-1 instances possess a highly contagious memetic hazard, causing people who view them to have a desire to share the art with others. This effect is also spread through the inclusion of the whole or parts of SCP-EPSYN-ART-1 instances in other images (utilizing the Creative Commons 3.0 license of most SCP-EPSYN-ART-1 instances). Before the Foundation discovered SCP-EPSYN-ART, 42 % of the human population had been infected. Amnestics have shown no effect against the memetic effect of SCP-EPSYN-ART-1 instances.

Due to the highly memetically contagious nature of SCP-EPSYN-ART-1 instances and the confidential Foundation information they contain, containment and possible neutralization of SCP-EPSYN-ART has been made a top priority. To this effect, Project EPSILON-REX-IS-A-BAD-ARTIST has been created for this purpose.

As of ██/██/████, SCP-EPSYN-ART has yet to be hindered.

Below is an ever-expanding archive of memetics-removed SCP-EPSYN-ART-1 instances:
