Item Name: Anubis

Classification: Unassigned

Special Containment Procedures: Anomaly must stay contained in a lead-lined holding cell until further study is done. Constant monitoring is required. When interacting directly a Class D personnel must be sent in to use an implanted IV sedation tube to inject general tranquilizer. Once taken affect, a drip bag must be attached to the tube filled with the tranquilizer. The charts must be kept up to date with the recommended dosage of tranquilizer. The specialized muzzle gear must also be attached. It is recommended to do before sedation, but not necessary. Personnel MUST have radiation levels tested before and after contact, with personal monitoring the anomaly having to be tested periodically withing 4 hours of each test.

Update to Procedures (1/27/2020): A visitor is allowed a one-hour meeting session once a week to promote the health of the anomaly. Personnel are advised to reduce stressors in containment and monitor the activity of the anomaly - recommend healthy activity includes at least 4 hours of "play". Anomaly must be taking in fluids regularly from its IV.

Description: "Anubis" is a 2-year-old feline whose appearance ranges from the look of a 6 months to 20 years old regular house cat. The feline is female, with black, long hair covering all of her body. Her eyes are a deep yellow and her paws contain one extra digit on each limb.

The cat ages progressively over the range of a year and lives through a normal cat life span at about 20 times the speed. After it reaches old age, it becomes deathly ill and eventually passes within a span of 30 minutes. Soon, the resurrection occurs within the span of five minutes. The body vibrates furiously, shedding off all fur as it shrinks down to kitten size, and eventually a new heartbeat forms. It is unclear how this process resurrects the cat and thus it remains under study. This process has only been witnessed once under SCP's gaze.

In addition to the cat's ability to be seemingly able to rise from the dead, it also cannot feed due to the main focus of the anomaly. The creature's mouth contains a black hole that emits radiation whenever the creature "meows" or make other cat noises. A recent study has shown that this black hole is in fact connected in a wormhole structure to an asteroid field of unknown location. In addition to emitting radiation when speaking, it will occasionally regurgitate thorium laced asteroids. These can become a choking hazard and so the feline must be kept under watch. The feline does suffer from starvation due to the inability to eat anything without it going into the wormhole, so to prevent a more faster, painful and agonizing death before resurrection, the feline has now been put on fluids.

History: Anubis was adopted by a human owner in Detriot who had no knowledge of the feline's abilities, around the time it was in the kitten phase. The owner took care of it, kept it from choking on rocks, and even constantly played with it at this phase. However, the owner noticed the feline growing up substantially quicker than the average cat, and this caught media attention. SCP was brought in to the situation when hearing about the anomaly over the news source that was quickly growing. Working fastidiously, the foundation swooped in and created an active cover-up as they removed the feline from the owner's care. The owner was given radiation treatment and the animal was put into a holding cell that was somewhat reminiscent of the apartment the owner kept the feline in.

Over the past few months of containment, there have been tests done relating to Anubis' wormhole mouth. Including, but not limited too, putting an endoscopic camera through the wormhole, stretching procedures of the feline's jaw that were unsuccessful, and the testing of organic substances being brought through and back through the cat's mouth. All procedures were performed with sedation.

However, within the past few months there have been complications. One was the cat constantly meowing at the cell door, waiting for its owner, for the first week of containment. The animal then suffered to what seemed to be malnourishment even though a steady diet was provided. It eventually died prematurely but was lucky enough to cause the resurrection process to occur for viewing pleasure. IV fluids were prescribed and once that feline started to become less active Class D Personel volunteered to spend time with the animal. The animal had grown in popularity among Class D Personel who had dealt with the sedation process and so they were eager to spend more time with the feline. They even gave it the nickname "Anubis", and it has since stuck with the animal.

The animal is still in recovering and testing so future updates are planned. Some personnel have pointed out Anubis' likeness to SCP-2952 and there are ongoing theories and rumors that the feline may have been "created in the corgi's likeness". Experimentation has now turned to the feline's DNA to find out if the anomaly occurred naturally or has been created through gene manipulation or some sort of foul play.
