Description: SCP-5056 appears to be a single human index finger.It is 6.35 centimetres long Every 7-8 days it will enter a cocoon made of crystallised sweat. The cocoon can withstand 300 rounds of .50 calibre bullets. Any attempts to observe inside the cocoon have via X-ray or thermal imaging have proven unsuccessful. The original matter seems to be retained during metamorphosis, it seems that the muscle and skin simply seems to grow into new forms. It will exit this cocoon as SCP-5056-1, SCP-5056-2 or SCP-5056-3. The subject will then quickly become agitated1. All of these forms are recorded to have extremely sharp fingernails. SCP-5056-3 is confirmed to be the most rare deadly and deadly of the subjects forms. This form resembles a common centipede. It has one 4 metre long finger that serves as the main body. This finger has 216 pairs of regularly sized fingers serving as leg appendages along the bottom. SCP-5056-3 also has 2 large fingers on its front that are used like mandibles. SCP-5056-2 is a single 5 metre long finger. it uses the fingernail as a weapon of sorts. This form is less dangerous than the others, but seems to be better at breaching containment. SCP-5056-2 moves similar to a snake.SCP-5056-1 has 8 large 4.5 metre tall fingers that it uses as legs. These legs are attached to what has been described as a "double sided palm". It also has two mandible fingers on the front. SCP-5056 does not have eyes or a mouth. The source of its aggression is still unknown. After taking damage. The subject will quickly heal from the largest chunk of its flesh. If the the subject is made smaller than the original form it will revert to SCP-5056, regardless of the form it was in before damage was taken.
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5056 is to be contained in a 15 m x 15 m x 10 m concrete cube. There must be personnel viewing over the subject at all times to ensure that does not go into metamorphosis unbeknownst to staff. Once SCP-5056 emerges from it's cocoon it should be destroyed as soon as possible2. Agents should focus on destroying one appendage before moving onto the next. under no circumstances should the subject be damaged prematurely. This will cause it to speed the metamorphosis up until it only takes 3.6 seconds.

Sgt.███: well, we where told that there was a finger or something on the loose. You know, that might just be one of the weirdest thing I've ever been told to take down. A finger. [laughs] Anyway, we hopped in the chopper and flew over to it.
Dr█████: How fast would you say SCP-5056 was going?
Sgt.███: At least 50 mph.
Dr█████: And what happened to Mrs Jessica ██████████?
Sgt.███: The target seemed to stop, and then it started running again, faster now.
Dr█████: How fast was the subject moving now?
Sgt.███: Faster than us. We tried shooting at it, but it was moving too fast.
Dr█████: What happened when it reached Mrs Jessica ██████████?
Sgt.███: Damn thing cut cut her right in half. [Sgt.███ sighs heavily]
Dr█████: Elaborate.
Sgt.███: It- It swiped at her with one of its legs. The fingernail cut straight through her. She didn't deserve that. She paid for our mistakes with her life. How is that fair?

Sgt.███: No. Just stomped her into the ground until there was nothing left but a puddle. Vicious little piece of work it was, so intent on slamming its fist into her. Again and again. Damn thing needs to be terminated.

Dr Alicia: We- [there is a short pause] We were observing SCP-5056-3 while it was in combat. It was moving so fast. They didn't even have a chance to shoot at it. And the way it killed them- [Dr Alicia lets out a small whimper] It looked so slow, so painful. And so much blood. Blood everywhere. The protocol demanded they hit its legs first, but they just couldn't hit it. They had no way to stop their- their imminent deaths.
Dr████: And how did the subject breach containment?
Dr Alicia: It climbed up the wall faster than any of us thought it would be capable of and broke through the observation window. It had killed most of us and was turning on me when security arrived. [there is a short pause] I was so close to death. So close.
Dr████: And how did you sustain your injuries?
Dr Alicia: One of its mandibles caught my arm as it came through the window. Even just that was enough to cut off my arm. There was blood everywhere. My blood.
Dr████: Was there anything different about this specific specimen?
Dr Alicia: [there is a short pause] Yes. This one was larger. Far larger.
