Special Containment Procedures: SCP-6006 is to be stored in a Class 3 Anomalous Object Container guarded by no fewer than two (2) armed personnel with Level 3 clearance when not undergoing testing. Item is to be removed from containment only with the written permission of personnel with Level 4 clearance or higher.
Description: SCP-6006 is black virtual reality ("VR") headset with a strap at the back and a white front, known as the "phone holder". The item exhibits no unusual physical properties apart from the left side, which shows small scratch marks, presumably from the wearer's nails. When worn, the wearer begins to feel a small feeling of dread and a little bit anxious. After five minutes of being on the wearer's head, strands of hair have been noticed often to drop to the floor from the subject's head. Ten minutes after being worn, the wearer has been reported starting the laugh hysterically, this lasts around for five minutes before the wearer suddenly drops to the floor. Guards and doctors that have tried to comfort the subject feel an extreme feeling of dread, usually fleeing the scene far away from the containment room. The wearer has been reported dead by this point, due to [DATA EXPUNGED]. Apparently, all test subjects that had never tested VR before had an extreme urge to put it on, hoping to see something amazing. Test subjects that had used VR before had a less chance of suffering [REDACTED].
Addendum #1: The VR headset itself was first discovered when the foundation purchased it from ████. It had been used once by a child living in the ███. The child had luckily survived, but had serious brain damage which was permanent.
Addendum #2: Level three (3) clearance is now required because so many of the guards have had the urge to put it on.
WARNING: Any personnel who attempts to use SCP-6006 as a method of killing someone is now strictly forbidden. Anyone who tries to do this will be working for the janitors or become a Class-D prisoner.
